I love how everyone assumed denji was 16 even thought he doesn't know it himself because he didn't kept track of it. He doesn't say "im 16" but "i don't know, maybe 16" or something like that. Its even more apparent in other language versions

This is why I don't interact with the social media outrages about anime and manga. It's not worth my loss of sanity. For the past few months, I've been of the mind that Denji's journey in Chainsaw Man is almost an exploration of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, looking at how a character like Denji, who hasn't had his base needs for health and safety taken care of, can function in society and learn who he's meant to be. The developments in the latest chapter, as uncomfortable as they are, are (I think) another aspect of that concept.
- Denji was vomited by Himeno in his mouth and almost had Himeno do something like that.... - P.... was killed unexpectedly. - M... was killed and eaten by Denji. And M... isn't as good a person as I always thought. - A** H******* died and became a demon. - and others And I think something strange will definitely happen again...💀

I honestly love CSM and I know something like that is gonna happen because a lot of character in the first season are wild af. I like when there is an “uncomfortable” feeling in a scene because it gives the intentions and it’s hooks you. It’s like watching a horror movie. I just feel like people just get so triggered by sexual harassment because they’re too soft. It’s not real but it gives a representation that it can happen irl with some people. 🤷🏼♀️

It shows how society views male SA victims and doesn’t take them seriously. People didn’t crack jokes when casca got raped by griffith, but it’s somehow different with denji? If it was any female character in his place, people would feel sad instead of saying “it’s just a drawing” or “he’s just a gooner”

They make jokes about the event as a whole and about Griffith being the most horrible person but they don't crack jokes at Casca for getting raped. And even if they did, it would still be wrong because it's a situation that the writer expects the readers to find the OPPOSITE of funny and it should be something that the readers don't find funny whether it's a male or female character.

The way I see it is that these people can not watch a series without associating themselves with the characters, basically inserting themselves into the story. So when a character does something questionable, they take it to heart.

Its extra silly because Chainsaw Man handles these problems in a mature and serious way. I could understand people having a problem with something like Mushoku Tensei which treats serious problems like a joke and it does the anime a disservice. Chainsawman actually does things right.
