I’m Vincent Racaniello, Earth’s Virology Professor, and I believe that education should be free.

I love these scientists because logic and proof are the stuff that enlightens their lives. So often these days a I run into opinions and decisions people hold fast to without any understanding of basic issues in question. Opinions fly free of logical inquiry. Its so frustrating.

Eh, that's only true for their areas of expertise. These guys are just as flaky as anyone else when they venture opinions outside of their area of expertise. Dixon is certain that cattle and bison don't interbreed naturally, but the majority of living bison today have cattle genes from interbreeding with the feral longhorn populations in the 19th century. In some cases, the two species were intentionally penned together to encourage cross-breeding, but no one was doing artificial insemination on a bison prior to WWII.

I question having Vinay Prasad on TWIV. Contentious is his middle name. His choice of words and how to interpret issues tends toward to negative. At one point I was watching his You Tube and Substack but have stopped. He seems very enchanted with himself and his views. TWIV time would be better spent in my opinion.

Mask wearing not only stop droplets, but also maintain higher mucouseal respiratory temperature. Did we know at what tissue temperature did SARS COV2 better fit.?

Agency interpretation of the law is codified in the 'Code of Federal Regulations". One would believe that Agencies act in an unbiased manner, however some in Federal government agencies are zealots. The Agency will never relinquish power, even if wrongfully utilized. Supposedly, Agencies must seek public comments, which they do - however this is only by form and often Agencies acknowledge hundreds of comments by indicating they have read them and disallowed them. Also, agency interpretation of law and its own rules are subject to political influence and jump from far left to far right under different administrations. There are two sides of every issue.
