Caught only smaller ones on a recent visit, so here is some action from some months ago. Music 'Great Healers' (instrumental version: from my 2nd album :) ). South Island, New Zealand
I usually throw the book at them: spinners; home-tied flies; shrimps; silveries; float-fishing; bottom ledgering......sometimes you catch nothing and sometimes you can't miss. Always a challenge and always a delightful place to go fishing.
Thanks Johnny. Those big ones are not easy to latch on to. What you see on utube vids are the highlights: behind the scenes is a lot of driving; a lot of walking; a lot of not much happening; a lot of lost tackle; a lot of effort with little reward. Thankfully, perseverance occasionally pays off with a monster 🙂, and the scenery is always amazing. Tight lines.
