I could just cry!!! I've been watching someone else for TWO days, and I've been so confused!! Your videos are so clear and easy to understand. I'm so grateful that you spent the time to explain this. You're a true teacher!!!
This is the best, most concise video available on working two at a time socks on 2 circular needles. I love your calm voice and great camera work. I feel empowered to try this now =) Well done!
You are the best instructor I have found! I am so ready to do this now. Every other instructor I have had harps on how hard it is to knit socks till I was full of anxiety to even try it. I wish I had found your channel earlier. Thank you so much.
I am so happy I found your channel. I have wanted to learn how to knit 2 socks at the same time but all the instructions I found were very confusing. I definitely think working with 2 circular needles will be a great start for me as I have not mastered and am not quite comfortable with magic loop yet. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to future videos. ❤
thank you so much for these and thank you for listing Addi Rocket square.. I had NO IDEA my favorite needle company was making the needles I need to be able to knit and am soooooo excited bout these square needles!!
I just used the Addi Rocket Squared for magic loop on my first pair of toe-up socks. I already LVOED the needles, but also loved them for magic loop !!!
Just followed your tutorial... I am starting my 2020 Advent sox as this year is so weird. I needed to start some “light “ early this season.... think I will do 1 needle. As in the past I go to my dpn’s for flaps-turns. Thank you.
I'm a bit of a newbie! Tried knitting some hand warmers with DPN (x4) but found that my tension laddered and I couldn't fix it. Then tried same pattern on smaller circular needles. Love the idea of knitting a pair at the same time, but watching your video, it seems like both methods described have the potential to ladder. How do you keep your tension, particularly when the front and back stitches are always in the same place (similar to DPN). Thank yo>!
Yep! Even though the parts where you're knitting in rnds is pretty straightforward, this technique isn't ideal for the parts worked in short rows. Sometimes I separate my socks onto different needles for the heel so I don't mess things up.
Karen Dunlap I use the Chiaogoo Mini Twist needles for socks. They come with a very thin, floppy cord, and I use a combination of 5” needles and a 37” cord to produce a long cord that allows easy knitting of the heels. I use the shadow wrap heel, which has been shown in a Chilly Dog video.
@@thechillydog Question: Could you theoretically use the magic loop or the 2 circular needles method for knitting 2 gloves or mittens at the same time as well?
@@kittykittybangbang9367 you bet! You would need to pay special attention at the thumbs, especially if there is gusset shaping. Also make sure you're not stitching two right or two left hand mitts/gloves. But how you manage and move the needles should be pretty much the same.
@@thechillydog Maybe could you do a video on how to knit 2 gloves, mittens, and fingerless gloves on the magic loop or 2 circular needle method? For all of us visual learners out there.
