This was a great session, both you and Sceptik did good talking about your wants/theories and general excitement for Metaphor Refantazio! Also about the recruiting new party members being a thing in current JRPGs Outside of Fire Emblem, there’s also Unicorn Overlord, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes, Star Ocean: The Divine Force, Star Ocean: Second Story R, Atelier Marie Remake, Octopath Traveler 2 etc that relatively keep that aspect alive
For me if the music is even close to the level of Xenoblade or Persona that alone will sell me on the game. Awesome podcast! Glad it finally came back!
I stopped watching when u said u r disppointed that the game is nit rated M, dude when does that rated system have anything to do with the quality of the game huh? Are u one of those people who think everything is all dark and gritty is immediately a better game, cuz it NOT!!! And plus perosna series is not rated M it only rated M in the US but in Europe and japan it basically rated T there, the games are still amazing with some amazing stories, so don't let that rated system discourage u for the game being amazing, and stop being obsessed with dark and gritty stuff, there is so many games like those nowadays, i really think metaphor is gonna have an amazing story unlike anything atlus have made and i have feeling this game is gonna have a deep world building too
