It's incomplete to think of a team simply as the tasks that need to be done, or indeed the complex individuals that make up the team. A more useful way to think about team is as a collective life - a shared endeavour - and this way of thinking about teams lets us assess the collective life. This is what the Let's Go Model (r) does - it looks at the dynamics that are going on in the collective life of a team - how is belief? how is structure? how is involvement? how is progress? how is care?
