I bought the Mustool after seeing your video about it, but got the version that includes two flexible lights like the Andonstar, so for me the problem with lighting isn't relevant. I don't use it much, but it does what I need pretty well, as I'm not a RU-vidr!
At that time I didn't even realized how useful is the flexible light. But recorded video quality is definatly below the level. Yes, good for those, who don't need videos, only live pictures.
I have the AndonStar AD407 (7 inch screen) and I LOVE It. To me, the biggest difference between the cheap microscopes and the Andonstar ones is that they record in MP4 files, that I can use directly on FinalCut Pro, without conversion. The cheap Microscopes save in AVI with some weird codecs and the video quality is terrible. I totally recommend the Andonstar ones!
