Even more impressing with this performance is that he did this while recovering from leukaemia and chemotherapy, thats why he has no hair in the video. It actually made him get an offer from Skidrow to be their leadsinger, which he accepted.

In 2009, Erik performed 18 and life (Skid Row) at the audition for Swedish Idol, which he then won. 2022 - He stood as their new singer

You can probably find videos of him singing this with Skid Row on tour if you want to see how it all came together. To round out your line of power singers, along with Gronwall and Vasc, you should check out Tommy Johansson. He covers everything from Disney to Celine to metal. I think he does this song as well. He has a phenomenal voice, and uploads a new covered almost every week.

He became lead singer for Skid Row after this, maybe because of this video. At this video he has cancer and you can see, he has no hair. He started his youtube channel to be able to sing despite cancer treatments (and also corona.)

Thank you guys so much!!! Glad you guys enjoyed. During that time Erik was fighting cancer. If you all want to check out another cover by him definitely I Will Always Love You.

Yeah "cover" of a song he later fronted in the same band, Skid Row ^^ He is an amazing singer :) Oh you gotta listen to him sing "I will Always Love you" from Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston. Amazing voice! And his duett with Dan Vasc when they "cover" Erik's own band's (H.E.A.T.) song "Breaking The Silence". Their voices together is a match made in heaven.
