Two day old Rocky Mountain foal outside for the first time since birth. The mare, CGF Toco's Last Dance (Toco Sam X Nicole) was born here at Cedar Grove Rocky Mountain Horse Farm in Vermont and this is her second foal. Both foals are chocolate and were sired by our stallion CGF Absolutely Incredible. Our foals are imprinted at birth and based on this video, we are considered part of the family at two days of age.

That’s the way all breeders should be. Letting the foal come to you and not forcing yourself on the baby. Mom is relaxed and so is baby. You can accomplish so much with that recipe! Beautiful ♥️😍 Thanks for uploading...

She likely was allowed to imprint the fowl properly before they started messing with it but it looks like it's having fun

He's absolutely adorable! As protective as mares are of their foals, the mom seems as though she has no issues w the man sitting on the grass, exhibiting trust towards him, so THAT'S a very big deal. Lovely to see! ❤

Absolutely PRECIOUS !!! When my mare gave birth, what THIS wonderful and sensitive person is doing in letting the foal 'get acquainted', is such a superior, simple and TLC approach, it never even occurred to me. Hugs, yeah. But equal-to-equal, one life to one other life,............such Respect!

Now that is so beautiful to see. Just sharing territory and no agenda other then getting acquainted. If more people did this at an early age they wouldn't need force as they grow and learn more about trust

Wonderful. no eye contact, no touching until a little later on, no rushed moves, Playful discovery on the foal's part: smell and touch. Totally non-threatening.

Sweet baby.Just beautiful.Lovely to see the trust there.Mom obviously feels very comfortable with this human as well.Says a lot about how they relate to each other.

Let the animal come to you on their own terms, animals talk to us using body language, facial expression (cats !), and other subtle gestures. Treat them with respect.

Awesome! You can tell the owner of these horses is a real animal lover of horses he has great wisdom of how horses should be handled, with love💖 and much patience. 👏🏼 people need to manifest love towards every kind of animal and towards each other in order to get it back. Enjoyed watching.
