Me and my wife are both in the Army and she left for Turkey, and since we both share the love for this band and this song, i play it on acoustic and sing it to her when she's feeling overwhelmed. Thanks TDCC for being awesome. Come to Nashville, TN sometime so we can see you.

I cannot believe I’m just now finding this song in my short life but even though this is my first time hearing it I feel like I’m being transported back to the days where no one had any worries and the world wasn’t a shithole every single time something is overracted. And even if I’m 7 years late thank you for a great song that brings me back:)

This song is my jam I've been blasting it in my car for the last two weeks

The last time I spoke to my mom I told her "I'll be home for Christmas." She died a month later and I never had another Christmas in her house. Because without her, it was no home. "I'll be home for next year" was my common refrain. And I know "if you think of me, I will think of you" was her refrain. One of the true regrets of my life was moving so far away and missing out on time I could have spent with her. 🕊️

This is one of those songs that reminds me that time never stops moving, progressing. I’m here, right now, typing out this comment at 8:44 AM EST on May 1st 2021. But yesterday I was not, and neither was I at any time before. Every time I have slept, time kept moving. It feels like a reset each time because of the unconsciousness and the cycle of day and night, but it just keeps moving. It’s part of the larger cycle of the years, 365 or 366 of these days, and it doesn’t stop ever. It’s been this way since I was born and before. And these gradual changes in myself occur over these days, and sometimes I don’t notice until many have passed and I find myself wondering when exactly it happened and I often don’t find the answer because it didn’t happen in one day, it happened in many. One year ago from tomorrow I was outside helping around the house and it was so beautiful, we planted flowers, picked up sticks, cut large tree branches, and started planting a garden. This morning I took my dogs out and I gazed at the place where the stubs of the tree branches are still black from the pruner that my dad spread over them to prevent them from rotting. It’s been JUST under a year from then. So much happened last year, and I am left wondering what changes will have happened by next year.

This song and it’s lyrics and it’s entirety is so underrated. I’m just listening to this song stoning being quarantined missing my family. I wonder when I can see them again.
