That actually would've been a cool and fun idea. But this is WB we are talking about. Also apparently before they got Clooney, they approached Bale to be in Clooney's place for the cameo but he declined.

I actually kindof like the first one more, as it could realistically lead into the DCU.

It’s definitely for the best. Even though there was some genuinely cool moments and maybe like 4 good movies, it is time for something better

They could've used CG/deepfake Adam West say around his 50s (just a glimpse of him as Barry goes WTF is this?! no interaction like there was with Clooney)

To the point where my personal theory was that the first ending was suppose to be the actual ending and lead directly into DCU, but then the early reactions came in, that were mixed to negative, and that possibly combined with Ezra not showing any signs of improvement, if at all (I say possibly because I feel Gunn was going to recast Barry regardless), James Gunn gave the go ahead ro change the ending to have George Clooney, with the film no longer leading into his DCU.

Lol, don't fool yourself. The first ending has an obvious cut. If that's the real ending, then it will be bad.

They should have just said that from the beginning. That DCU is just a new and different universe from the DCEU, instead of implying that the DCEU will be “rebooted”.

Nah, this one was definitely fan service & far more poignant. Aside from the fact that West died in 2017 & this film was shot in 2021, an Adam West appearance would have been creepy/tacky & would have definitely not had the same reaction. An actor who donned the cowl once, got a lot of flak for it, but went on to become a massive Hollywood star decides to return for a one-off? AND the tongue-in-cheek dialogue of, "you're not Batman!' (which a lot of people said@the time of Clooney's casting, much like Keaton before him), directly lampshading the moment of the audience? Brilliant choice in filmmaking. Respect for West & the past got its nod in the montage earlier in the film. Clooney was by far the better choice & made for s much better ending. Just my $0.02.

Honestly, I love a Batman crossover movie with all the actors who played Batman as well as give honor to those who played Batman who no longer with us like West and such, love to see the 60's Batmobile in action again in the modern movies, also the Batcopter and the shark repellent thingy too

@@TheMemorialStorm Nah there's a split moment where you can see his face. It's quick and most people would miss it, but it was pretty noticeable. It would kind of defeat the purpose of the ending KNOWING that he's now in some different (objectively worse) universe lol. Ezra is never playing the Flash again, so it's for the best to say "Yeah, he's in the dumpster fire universe of Batman And Robin." and just move on.

Bruh you've probably only seen the movies. Trust me you need to watch Batman the animated series and Justice League/JLU and you'll see DC is easily as good as Marvel

The Batman and Joker were both better than anything Marvel has put out in years, bro.

Had they done THAT ending and followed up with a JL 2, then DC might have been saved, or at the very least not bleeding as much money. But WB is gonna WB, so now it's all dead. And no little Jimmy Gunn will NOT save DC or WB.

Do you really think these people don't already understand that? Why can't they prefer the alt. ending? I haven't seen the movie, and it's likely I never will, but I much preferred the alt. ending to the Clooney ending.

Exactly, i think that the problem was MCU had a 5 year head start. Runtime of MOS, BVS, WW, Snyder’s JL was around 12 hrs thats about the same as MCU phase one. If you watch both today in retrospect DC was more mature, characters arcs were on the same level if not even better, it had better cinematography, CGI. Stories were more linked. And i think it will age better. But there were fans who wanted MCU movies with DC characters in it rather than watching DC being its own different thing. And WB caved in and kept course correcting and rushing everything.

Are you counting the cameo in The Flash as his second appearance? Because I only remember one George Clooney Batman movie. There were two with Michael Keaton and one with Val Kilmer. I think.

Did you watch the entire video? That was from the Screening day with a uncut ending. Thats how it ended. The second is the opening worldwide on June 15th. That became the finish final cut. They did had another different ending but they never got to release it.
