he said he practice so much as a kid on hes picado even the greatest master of flamenco guitar paco de lucia practice 14 hours everyday@@scottanderson6807
Fantastic lesson, really simple to learn and well explained. I tried this out today and found improvements in speed and accuracy almost instantaneously! Thanks for the really informative videos, it's so rare to have someone of your calibre give such indept insights into technique etc. Without the constant push to like and subscribe, buy this guitar mastery package and so on! Thanks again for your generosity!
You can start these exercises from a finger of your choice in the right hand, but ALWAYS alternate. The number of notes in this scale (from G on the 1st string to E on the 6th string) works out so that if you alternate, you will start and end the run with the same finger. When adding notes back in the first exercise, calculate the starting finger so that you always end the run on the same finger.
Hi Grisha, what do you think about the special picado technique which Rafael Cortes uses? It's a kind of "economy picado" similar to the sweep picking technique when you use a pick. I tried it for a while but then put it aside, but Rafael gets insane speed with it, still with a good tone. What's your opinion?
Once again a really useful and clearly explained lesson. Because of these things, I think yours are some of the best guitar lessons I’ve watched. Thank you very much! 😀👍
Thanks so much for taking time to post these videos. It is such a great asset to be able to learn from a master. I actually fumbled through the first exercise slowly and was gradually able to play it faster after about 10 attempts. I then did the descending phrygian run and was shocked at how much easier, faster, cleaner and smoother I was able to to play it. This exercise does EXACTLY what you say it will.
Thank you Master Goryachev for that exercise! I did it and now try to do with other scales or phrygian in other keys; i see that u begin always a descending run with the m finger. Have a nice day
I will do practice everyday until catch up with your speed on this lesson. Today I’ve got to have confidence to obtain the speed technic by you. I’d like to say my heartfelt “Thank you” yo you. Your existence itself inspires me to enjoy guitar.
Super lesson. Thanks Grisha! My observations of the first exercise are, you always start the descending run with the 'm' finger, but alternate between 'i' and 'm' on the ascending run. I guess one could try any finger combination with these exercises.
There is no reason why masters shouldn't be sharing their expertise on RU-vid. What could be better than having more Flamenco Guitarists in the world to work off. People shouldn't be scared of teaching others their skills. Thank you Grisha
Master Grisha Thank you So much for your efforts, you are the best, and kkep doing great job, and , can you please make a video for scales in locked position, near 7-8-9... fret regions please, for barre and non barre practise, some of us guitarists are facing main problems in those area much more difficulty since years. Thank You So Much. Always.
Buena Maestro Grisha!!! Thank You so much for these Lessons and I noticed You start with middle finger "m" just avoiding crossfinger in the first String I Guess 👍👍👍👍👏👏
Dear Grisha! Thanks for your phantastic video lessons! Very useful and very clear. My question: Is the Apoyando from classical guitar same like Picado...or do we have to change something in finger position?
Being an intermediate player, my feedback is- it would be great if you can teach more on the right hand finger position and movements, like how can build endurance and position them and all. All in all a great video thou, 😊
Grisha Goryachev I think there are not many knowledgeable teachers like you Grisha,THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO PLAY WELL BUT THEY CAN NOT EXPLAIN HOW TO PLAY IT
the middle joint of the finger can not press and work as a push on the string the metacarpal joint presses but my mistake was that I pressed with all my finger and then the middle one after pressing slipped on the nail it turned out that I did two movements instead of one common as you said from in the old video about picado video school put your finger on the string press your finger on the string and release the string with all your finger but not the middle one slide on the nail and let go
You should use the middle joint of the finger, it's the fastest and most precise motor in your hand. Of course you can't use it in isolation from everything else, but it should be the primary actuator and all extra movements should be pruned out to reduce tension.
4th day of doing the 1st exercise, really helping me clean up my picado! I think it’s extra valuable to play it staccato (muffling the target note with the next finger), it helps with right hand finger coordination and accuracy. Today I’m going to implement the 2nd exercise in my practice routine. Thanks, Grisha!
