Hello Ann, thank you for doing my first original tag honoring Maya Angelou and her poem, phenomenal woman. I only started reading Edith Wharton when I joined book tube, but I’m especially interested in New York City at that time. I was born there around 40 years after she wrote Ethan Frome. I enjoyed your video. Aloha fromHawaii.
@@insearchofwonder for a different take on her tone, look up the novella Bunner Sisters. I read it earlier this month and instead of focusing on the NY rich like she does often, it was from the poor side of NY. But not as dark as Ethan F.
Aww Anne thank you SO so much for including me in your list! You are also such a phenomenal woman!! Love you and your channel so much!💕🤗 I haven't read anything by Edith Wharton yet but I do have The House of Mirth on my physical TBR. You're making me even more excited to read Little Dorrit!
Hi Anne! Oh my goodness I don't know how I missed this video and mention! I jumped on your channel thinking "I wonder what Anne's up to?" and then I saw it. Thank you so much! I love your answers and how you always make me chuckle - I think it has to do with your delivery timing or something, but it always makes me smile!
Thanks for including me on your list. 🥰 And I can't wait to check out these new to me booktube channels. Also, I'm definitely putting Ethan Frome on my tbr list!
Such fun tags! I feel like a lot of my answers are the same as yours in the Honest Booktuber Tag, though I will say I wish I had a better flow of speech like you and a lot of other booktubers seem to have because I would have to do a lot less editing if I didn't have to cut out so many pauses and times when I stumble over words 😆
Oh there's definitely some editing most of the time. Although this video I kept falling asleep while I was editing so I was hoping against hope there wasn't anything too stupid in here. 😆 My weekly wrap-up this coming Sunday will be completely unedited due to time restraints, so you can see the normal bumbling umm-ing me. 😆
Ethan Frome is the shortest but it's also pretty dark. Age of Innocence is really good and doesn't have as much of the darkness of Ethan Frome although it has similar themes. It also has a fantastic adaptation!
I love your videos exactly as they are… honest, informative, and personal. I love your sense of humor & passion for reading. I also adore how often you post. 💫Perfect!
Oh thank you! I'm not sure I'm going to be able to keep the posting this school year... for some reason, my schedule is kicking my tail this time around. But we'll see how it goes.
