Great reaction as usual 😃✌🏻Nirvana was an amazing band, RIP Kurt 👼 it's sad that all the biggest singers of the grunge movement except for Eddie Vedder are all dead 😟 anyway have a great weekend and keep rocking hugs Mia & Juliet!!! Lots of love from Argentina.
Great singing, Mia, and I know it was hard to refrain from jumping. I think you girls definitely would’ve been at a local Nirvana show back in the early 90s. Great song choice! Juliet, you expressed very well about the lyrics, their meaning and how they connected them to the music. Another fun reaction, thanks gals!
OMG.....loved your reaction and comments on the song and video. I will admit, it took me some time to become a Nirvana fan. As I listened to more of their music, I became hooked. Sad that Kurt Cobain passed away at the age of 27. I was in my car driving to work when I heard of his passing. Way to go girls....another fantastic review, as always. I think we have two new Nirvana fans in the house! Lol....the end of your video was priceless! And the musical journey continues.....can't wait to see what is next! Continue staying safe! Love and blessings. 💖
LOL! Thank you Suzy! We are happy that you like our reaction! Mia and I definitely love Kurt's voice! Nirvana was a great band! It is unfortunate about Kurt! : (
@@danasfaith5738 I loved your reaction video....two thumbs up once again. Kurt had so much talent . I knew you and Mia would love Nirvana. Glad your dad was able to fit them in....finally....lol. I just love the two of you! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Can't wait for International Monday! Love & Blessings! 💖
Ask layne staley about this. I remember something in a book:"sometimes the prettiest flowers grows out of nasty manure" or something between those lines, the point is that you can sublime the ugliest things in your life to pure art and beauty
Hey guys, hope y'all remember me! You guys are doing a great job as a reaction channel. I've been with you guys since before you have even 20k subs. You guys deserve way more! Love from Texas
I love watching teens react to what I was watching at that age. I make sure that my kids know all of these artists and appreciate them. Nirvana is their favorite.
Girls, you did it again. U2, Metal Church and now Nirvana . Fantastic. So different but all great bands. Bravo on your choices and your critiques. Nirvana unplugged album is a must listen. Beautiful but heart breaking at the same time.
Been out of YT for a while. My partner has been nagging me saying I am addicted. Haha. Anyway, another great choice of song and band. Your reactions tell us all about your feelings. Keep your eyes and ears open, there's so much more for you to discover. Good job and Happy New Year to you and your family.
Lithium is also the third element on the Periodic Table of Elements, and classified as a "metal", as with sodium. ln context of the Nirvana song, this is right, as ,chemically, it is as volatile in the song's moods as the element is.
The fourth guy on stage, with the short blonde hair, is Pat Smear. Pat was a touring member of the band, and session guitarist, and later member of Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters. Pat is considered by many to be the (unofficial) fourth member of Nirvana.
Girls, you guys don't know how HUGE this band was. When they dropped thier first song. ( Smells like teen spirit) It was like a bomb went off. They went from nobody's to literally the biggest band in the world overnight. It was amazing to witness. Ask your parents about it they'll tell you. If you haven't, do smells like teen spirit cause the world changed after that song dropped. Even though lithium is my favorite song by this band.⚡
not to be a stickler, but Nevermind (of which Teen Spirit is the first track) dropped in mid-1991. Nirvana's first LP was Love Buzz, a cover of the Shocking Blue song, in 1988. Nirvana's first proper album was Bleach, released in 1989, two years before Nevermind, and that had a couple of singles that received airplay on college radio, including "About a Girl" and "Sliver." Sliver actually was featured on MTV, you can find the video on RU-vid. Many fans consider Bleach their purest album. That said, Nevermind was the first big label release (Geffen) and the first with Dave Grohl on drums. However, if you overlook Bleach and the early LPs you are missing some really good stuff.
@@QuakerPop You are right friend. But Bleach never got national airplay until nevermind broke. Yeah, I suppose they were Around so to speak. But they were a local Seattle band. Nevermind was thier first major label release and that was when they dropped their first single for international consumption if you will and that was what I was referring to.
One of my all time fav songs. Lithium is a metal most commonly used in batteries and as a medication to treat bipolar disorder and major depression. It should only be used in extreme situations were other medication does not work as it has serious side effects.
Most other meds for bipolar disorder can also have serious side effects. I was 25 when this Nirvana performance came out and Lithium Carbonate (the form used for bipolar disorder, often long-acting) was a first-line treatment. I've taken Lithium Carbonate for bipolar disorder nearly 30 years now and it saved my life. I was on other meds for 15 years prior and everything about most others took a horrible toll (physically, suicidal thoughts and actions). Thirteen years later my son (now 30) was diagnosed bipolar and after his doc prescribed the "newer" drugs like Depakote (bad idea), Lithium has also been his best treatment with the fewest side effects.
Brought back a whole trend of rock - Grunge. A dark sound. Glad you enjoyed. How bout.. Some G n R "Sweet Child of Mine"? The 90's.. Would love you to compare these two bands.. Love the standing ovations!
I love your reactions to nirvana, please do more live nirvana reactions, PLEASE!!!! You guys will love everything they did. All the 90s grunge bands are amazing and should be a mandatory listen lol. But seriously nirvana was HUGE!!! Like how Billy eilish is now, but there was no social media and very little internet if at all. They made it off radio and touring. Alot of people don't talk about that stuff but yeah I'm rambling, see how you picked up the chorus by the end of the song? That's Kurt's genius knowing how to write catchy songs. Like he said he writes like they are children's songs that you don't ever forget. Got a sub from me.
@@danasfaith5738 thank you for doing your reactions. It makes us all feel like we're hearing these songs again for the first time. Kurt Cobain changed music forever, try to go back and watch a few of the live shows that are on you tube and really get a feel for all there amazing performances. If you can it would be awesome to see your reactions, but either way I promise you'll love them forever after.
This concert was recorded on Dec. 13, 1993, the lead singer Kurt Cobain took his own life not even half a year later, on Apr 5, 1994. React to Smells like Teen Spirit. And Weird Al´s spoof of it, Smells like Nirvana ;)
Hi girls, Nirvana was a great band but the whole band was Kurt Cobain who sadly took his life, supposedly, 4/5/1994, but through his Music he brought out all his problems, feelings and life experiences. If you watch Netflix there are movies about him. The Music was called "Grunge" ,which he didn't like, but he felt his songs where the style of soft, loud and soft which he showed it in this song. The Drummer is Dave Grohl who started The Foo Fighters
I hope you girls have listened to Helter Skelter from The Beatles. In case not, you MUST. This is the song which inspired to groups like Led Zeppelin or even Nirvana to make their music. It was composed by Paul McCartney in 1968 before hard rock, heavy, punk or grunge even existed. Check out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vWW2SzoAXMo.html
HEART SHAPED BOX!! SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT!! LAKE OF FIRE!! WHERE DID YOU SLEEP LAST NIGHT!! DO IT!!! Also, mad respect for having Slayer, Metallica, and White Zombie on your wall.
You may notice the incredible drummer Dave Grohl in the back. He went on to be in several other major bands. Look his songs for spngs similar to this group. Kurt Cobain's wife, Courtney Love had a band called "Hole" that was grunge too. Try out the band "Garbage".
Loved Your Reaction. Love Nirvana. You both harmonize Great! The Drummer as I'm sure you already know went on to form the Foo Fighters, which I'd love to see you react to. I really hope one day you can react to Def Leppard. Whoever you react to, I'm hooked on your channel. Love all you do girls. ⚘⚘😊😊
The transitions that you like are called dynamics in music. His vocals have the same dynamics as the instruments. Start calm with clean guitar, and soft drums, then hit the distortion pedals and the loud vocals and let it rip.
in my opinion grunge varies from band to band, they take that grunge sound and combine with something else, e.g nirvana combined grunge with punk, soundgarden combined grunge with hard rock, etc
ladies, to really get the power of Nirvana at it's grungiest best, I submit that their greatest live performance was on their "Muddy Banks of the Wishkah" live concert CD. The song is Aneurysm. I've never seen a reaction to it, but it is arguably a top 5 Nirvana song on sheer power alone. here is a link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FsxmuMNAkvk.html
brooooo muddy banks of the wishkah brings me sooo many memories.. i used to listen to that and bleach a looot when i was 13-14.. Man, the good old days, i miss them..
@@joni99. me too. Remember when you first put on wishkah and heard the intro then bleeding into "school?" I certainly do. I was a 17 year old kid and it earned me my first speeding ticket. True story. How could you possibly drive the speed limit? I wouldn't say nirvana is in my top 10 as an adult, but if I put that on, I'm instantly 17 again
