Well done guys. It’s good to see the Glowbite Grumpy Fish lures with the flashing light working for you. I often slow troll them to cover more ground if the fishing is slow (like you did 😊)
Cheers Wes, the grumpy fish is such a good lure. I wasn't sure how it will perform on the South Island but it's been catching snapper and blue cod. Great stuff. I love that you can just leave the rod in the rod holder and the grumpy fish will still catch fish.
That Tata beach spot looks pretty good! I still cant get over how accurately the fishing reminder app predicts the bite time! Heyshin outfished you again too 😅. Nice fish 🐟
Tata beach is usually very busy because people are kayaking around the islands. So it’s not a popular fishing spot for locals😛 and they say fishing is not very good there. But good enough for us to catch a couple of snapper for good feed😊. Grim reaper lures works great for us 🎉thank you
Hey guys we got on to a thresher shark inside tata island jumping about 2 metres out out the water was about 40 mtrs back from the boat when I reeled it in it was longer than the back of the figlass at about 2:5 metres then came around port side we had no gaff said to me girl no what she freaked as this big eye looks at us and the shark said game over guys and bit threw the trace was a great memory , cheers , shaneno , nelson, 👍🍺
That's a great story. There seem to be lots of sharks around in Golden Bay. I only ever had one encounter with a Thresher shark up north long time ago. They are really cool sharks. We had a snapper on the hook and it tried to hit it with it's tail, right next to the boat.
slow days really sucks. but thats why i like to use sliders during slow sessions: less effort in retrieving which makes up for the slow period. looks like u've been making the most out of the small boat u got.
I can't remember the last time I caught a Snapper but it was about 14 years ago up at Whangaruru! I was at Black Rock today so I think I'll try for them there in summer. Would have been perfect for you boat there today😊
Thanks mate, it does take us quite a while to make a video. Hyeshin is doing most of the editing. It usually takes her a couple of days. And then we have to come up with a thumbnail, description and all that before publishing.
@@Fishingreminder ok cool so you are still catching snapper up there at this time of the year? As I am eventually moving up that way once I sell my house
yeah man, I'm keen - but my problem is that I'm not patient enough for salmon, haha. But I haven't given up on it yet. Just gotta be lucky and catch one in a short time.
@@walkintomydream7208yes either searun trout or salmon every nice for dinner I get my salmon and trout smoked and vacuum packed so It last until the next season
