Tune is everything in this game, same with camera view. Also clutch boosting is crucial to being competitive. Try running clutch boost 3, acceleration 3, chassis flexibility 3, suspension is honestly a personal preference but I run hard 2, makes casing jumps more manageable/forgiving. And then tire slip 1 or stock traction is the way to go. You don’t want to run any traction settings, slip makes it so much easier to go faster. Clutch boost after literally everything. Every shift, every corner; but do it after the apex of each corner. every landing of a jump especially in supercross (depending on what your trying to do). You should be clutch boosting basically everywhere but be aware if you do it to much you will lose speed. This game definitely has a high skill gap. put in the time and you’ll get faster

Throttle control/clutch boost timing/ using manual shifting in your corners is another great way to make up time. Once you figure out the perfect timing/throttle control you’ll fly like a rocket

I think this is the best since Reflex/Alive. It’s pretty great honestly. Reflex has its issues too. Seems like a lot of people don’t spend the time to get decent at this game, then complain about it. Maybe they suck, not the game.
