"Don't bother with the stickers! You're not even gonna see them!" God, you have no _idea_ how excited I was to see the reaction that I knew was coming when you got to the end and realized that the piano literally could not function. That was so worth it.
For those not in the know: The stickers they chose not to use are Reflective Tape, the same used on bikes and safety vests to help nighttime drivers see you. The Right Joy-Con shoots out these Infrared (IR) beams that are meant to bounce off the tape and hit the camera. In total darkness, the camera can see these stickers perfectly. When you press down on a key, the back end of the key raises up beyond a little border. There's a sticker on the back end that, when moved up, the camera will notice it, and play that specific note. Same thing with the knobs, it'll see the knob being inserted and turning, and it'll tell the console how to react (Volume, Pitch, and Reverb) It's also got waveform and rhythm cards. By inserting it, you can make neat sounds or have a neat drumbeat. These don't use the stickers, but there's a large sticker on the back of the stand (Where the console is set). It shoots out a beam and uses the reflected light to project a waveform or pattern. Because they didn't use the stickers, it did not function at all. Use the stickers.
they never did the robot kit, or the vehicle kit, and probably won't do the vr kit or any other kits. I guess that's good, though. These 2 videos were not good at all in my humble opinion.
*Nintendo ™ Cardboard, and its not that impressive, saw someone using the piano after being disappointed with this video, and it does look like a drum sequencer.... in a very cardboard kind of way. But Thanks.
hope yall realize they're reflective tape, not magnetic tape The bottom of one of the joycons is actually an IR camera and the reflective stickers glow really brightly to the camera :v
Imagine being just accepted into Nintendo’s animating team, being super exited to animate all of your favorite Nintendo characters, and then they give you this cardboard.
I will never let you live this down, On each video i watch of yours from now on i will mention how you expected a cardboard piano to function with no infrared tape and just a ton of cardboard
SPOILERS I saw those stickers being important halfway through the video. Like, seriously, guys? Why else would there be random completely white stickers in there?
I was laughing at you guys the *INSTANT* you decided not to put the stickers on! Like seriously *common sense* would tell you that they're probably *for the sensors in some way* Lol
One time I stayed after school and listened to the Wii shop theme whilst dismantling a knex ball machine for 5 hours straight. My school was cool, but man, while it was voluntary, that drove me so insane. It was all I could hear in my head for the whole rest of the day.
Game: It wont work then! The bois: *_OH FOR FUCKS SAKE!_* Also, i didnt want to add the f**** part, but it wouldnt let me add the effect if i did... *_:/_*
The video piano will always look better than your physical piano no matter what, always, the video piano doesn’t have physical properties like mass, weight and gravity to affect the way it folds
I spent nigh on 19 minutes watching two grown men playing with cardboard and refusing stickers. A valuable and well worth use of my time. Thank you Alpharad very cool!
" Yeah lets just skip the 'stickers' " ( End of video ) " Oh my god, the stickers were magnetic tape"; 'GOD DAMNIT' *Top ten anime betrayals...Number seven, magnetic taaaape*
Building the toy is supposed to be the main part of the fun! Apparently I was a different kind of kid than Alpharad, because 8-year-old me would have had a blast putting this together.

Ya know, if you build a LEGO set and decide that you don't need a certain piece, *one piece*, it will not often not work as intended. Sounds familiar...
