For us it was a family affair. When dad came home from work on Friday he would drive Mom, my brother and me to Two guys. We,d each get a hot with mustard and sauerkraut and a soda and then go shopping for food. So fun. Simple times
I was a cashier in the grocery department at Two Guys in East Hanover NJ in 1974. I remember there use to be a remote control Robot rolling all over the store. The children were fascinated by it. But some children and grownups were a little frighten by it also. Great memories.
Ok. I was able to find out. Part of the store was a Pathmark, and now in 2019 it is a Dicks sporting goods. I moved here when Pathmark was there. I grew up in New York where i could Walk to Grants, and Two Guys, Korvetts, etx. Were a short distance. I can not believe how dead brick and mortar retail is. It is really sad. Everything here but "Caldor". I rarely went there as a kid.
Brings back memories. Mom use to grocery shop every week at the 2 Guys on Rt. 9 & King George Rd. in Hopelawn or Woodbridge (don't know exactly where to town line was).
I grew up in Bethlehem PA and we had a Two Guys store. It was located off Easton Ave. In Bethlehem PA.I remember that amazing store like yesterday. Our Two Guys store had a mini bowling alley in it and lots of arcade games, pinball machines and kids rides.Being a 8 year old kid in the 70s was a amazing time to be a kid and go to Two Guys. The 70s stereos they sold were cheap but good quality.Plus I bought all my KISS records from there record department. The records were less than $ 10 dollars back then. They were even cheaper than K -mart.Two Guys even sold goldfish in there pet department.👍😃✌️
There’s a grocery store and a Popeye’s Fried Chicken at this location now. We used to shop at the Two Guys on US 22 in Watchung, near Blue Star Shopping Center.
My parents shopped there regularly in the 60s and 70s. I always made a beeline for the record department. They always knew where to find me when they were done shopping.
0:42 look at those TVs. Talk about memories. Sure brings back alot of them. We had a Two Guys down the road from us in South Gate Californa, no they were not just in NJ, and some of you might remember the South Gate one. I saw the Brady kids there in 1973 who were signing autographs and selling their record album. I missed the Partridge Family a week before, but I heard David wasn't there.
I had the Two Guys on Route 440 in Jersey City...they had a EVERYTHING from a lumbar and pet dept to full grocery store WITH a huge meat dept...and practically I grew up up in the record (album) dept...memories...and a Trader Horn and Robert Hall down the highway going towards Bayonne...sigh
This is the one my mother would take my sister and I to in Saturday's (mid 60s). We lived in Bayonne. I bought my first record album (Meet the Beatles!) from that store. I remember riding by Great Eastern Mills on the way to Two Guys.
