Cool project! I expected a sit-com to start any moment with that music...Almost reminded me of a Love Boat type weekly series. Very upbeat. Clean, simple video.
Love the video and thanks. But unfortunately I found it cheaper to buy a ready made light box rather than buy LED strip, wood and diffuser plastic as light panel.
It’s Frosted Glass, you could probably find similar as a Plastic, just tell them you’re making a Light Box and you need some Frosted Glass or similar to let the Light through, and the people at the Store should be able to help you.
I am learning how to draw (without this thingie), and it could be useful for example when you have made a sketch and want to transfer that to another underground, such as aquarelle paper, or canvas, so you don't have to do the sketch all over again, but the problem with this thing is, thatif you make a picture and use it, the image will be smaller when transfered. I use my drawing, add a layer of graphite on the back and trace it to the other underground (first I make a print with the printer). And that method has got it's limits as well, because you can't do that with for example A3 size, because almost nobody got such a large printer. For small drawings it is fun, I suppose. In our local 'dollar store' in The Netherlands this thing goes for just 1 dollar 50 or something. 1 Reply
When Tracing, which is what you use a Light Box for in Drawing, it should be exactly the same size as the original. You are hand copying the image, in a much slower fashion than a Copier would, but it is the same principal the image should be an exact copy. Now if you want to resize things, then yes you can use a Copier to do that, I’d use Officeworks where I am, then I could take my enlarged or reduced image home, and use the Light Box to Trace it into another image etc. What I personally want one for is Fashion Design, so sometimes I’ll get one side perfect and just can’t get the other side to match. So I can use the Light Box to Trace that one good side, flip it over and then trace it into my design, saving me tome and frustration in the long run.
