Loved the video Jay! I love watching all your car videos, even if I don't totally understand all of it, because I wish to one day get into cars, and it's intriguing to see cars from another perspective!
Jay your Nissan is gorgeous. It's awesome to see the evolution of your cars and computers hand in hand, keep up the awesome content man, you are an inspiration!
I definitely enjoy these types of videos that you make. I love cars, racing and rally stuff. Damn that's unfortunate about the belt, at least you had some good laps!
Oof, I love the 350 and 370z sound amazing! Came to this channel from your computer channel and also love cars. Nice to see someone who actually likes both like I do haha
Another Awesome video! Sorry I couldn't make it out this weekend...but i'll do my best to come out and support next time!!! You're killin it out there man!!!!
Great runs Jay! It's a good thing it was just a belt, but this reason is why I always carried a spare serpentine and supercharger belt on my E55 AMG where ever I went.
Would clear bra's help on the track/canyons when it comes to stones and so on, can't remember if you have one on or not. Loving the car stuff as usual mate.
I run a '17 Viper ACR on track (regularly) and it is completely clear bra'd. The short answer: yes. It helps. Small rocks and debris will bounce off and not damage your paint or body. However, it really depends on the size, weight, and shape of the object as well as how fast and at what angle it comes in contact with your car.
How are the laps worked out? Like in your laps there was pretty low powered stuff like miata/mx5 and then a gtr? Then in another set of laps it was all porsches from each end of the spectrum like 911 turbos to caymans, but it can be on manufacturers because in Jay's laps there was mazdas and nissans and all sorts. Best guess it's based on driver experience on this circuit and maybe on previous experience?
what was your time i did 1:37 in a stock civic si with just engine power mods and a brembo in the front sadly when i got my fortune auto 510 the car got totalled before i got it to the track now i got my wrx wanna hed up there to see how much i do with a 360whp wrx with stock suspention

JayzTwoCents could you ad in the description from your videos the music you used. I liked it. would like to know. BTW luckily that it was not something serious. 😮
Hey Jay. I wanted to ask you if you have ever tried the Nissan 370Z Nismo featured in Assetto Corsa on your simulation rig. I'd like to know what you are thinking of it and how good the handling and sound is in comparision with the "real" car. Best regards
Hey CoCo M on the tire warm up thing, its true they get warmer when under load/turning/braking hard/accel/ etc......NASCAR does the weave deal when they are under Yellow only because they are limited to the speed they can go so they are trying to mimic the sudden and hard turns (load) as in when racing , its not perfect but its what they got for now...AS for the TJ clown UMMM hes using painters tape so yeah hes got that going for himself...lol......Jay you would have a blast at Sebring or Daytona, we have a ton of fun places to run down here + old abandon military bases or air ports. anyway i have the same issue finding stuff for my Chevelle that's why I hardly bring her out much anymore, most places dont carry things for cars or trucks older than 25 yrs old sad to say! Anyway Great Video Guys, i was hoping we got to see you whip the mouth runners ass after you got back with new belt .
Great runs Jay, have you thought about turning this into a car vlog channel, maybe later get another car next to nizzy if you have time? would be interesting videos
13th comment! Man, you are living the life I want to live! working with cars as a hobby and building computers full time! Maybe switch that around... and that's my perfect lifestyle.
Would be nice to see some timer in these clips. How much have you improved as a driver after lessons? Feel need to go drive in the mountains anymore after being on track? :P
The nizzy looking and sounding gggrrrrreat. I too share your passions, pc building & modified cars & probably all thing Motorsports, especially hill climbing on pikes peak, Jay enter the nismo into a hill climb, you would do good.
your actualy a pretty good driver, nice raceline, perfect grip control with a car thats tends to be easely oversteered, if you ever get the chance todo something in a more professional lvl i would suggest taking it and you might end up op on the podium!! tobad for the serpentine belt but hey shit happens :p
Hahaha that ending suck so hard! Have lost alternator belt and alternator on track my self, and last time on track i got a messed up cv joint and had to end the trackday weekend on Friday 😥😥😥
IDK I'm with Fmily, that sounds like a broken mic, like punctured membrane, dealing with certain vibration frequencies. Kinda like a blown speaker but the microphone equivalent. Peaking is normally from something being too loud, aka amplitude of the sound wave not frequency. I have experience with a "blown" microphone from back in my highschool, certain presenters could not use it because their voices would just not jive with the mic, mainly from singing type performances. Am not familiar when it is as loud as it would have been in Jay's car.
Dominc Williams I know what peaking is, I dealt with it a lot in my Trip to Denver video because I didn't have a computer to test my levels on. If it was peaking don't you think you would hear it on all the runs? I only hear it on the first run. Maybe it was a combination of the mic peaking and the track compressor he is using in post or something, but it doesn't sound like just peaking to me.
You do know Jay that going side to side isn't only about heating up tires, but to clean the rubber on those tires reducing wheel spin like on a restart in NASCAR.
Aly Osman just driving gets rid of marbles braking heats tire but after a lap of driving race speed the tires will be hot enough as they are street tires
love that track, mostly for the openess. the track is actually garbage lol. however im used to running @ cota. however you do look like you are going easy on that track. idk how sticky your tires are but get on it more. looking great man
How did that belt not snap and rip everything to bits in the front? I've seen a belt give and thought it was a radiator explosion but in fact when the belt snapped it punched a hole in the rad and broke the fan. You ware lucky imo.
2:09 Josh representing Colion Noir (with the PPL hat), and doing so behind enemy lines in Kommifornia FTW! Lol off topic I know, but I noticed that and thought it was pretty cool. :)
