If you're looking for photos that will change your mind on the bigfoot debate, you wont find them here.
About a year ago I set out to make a video entitled, 5 Lesser Known Bigfoot Photos. But it turns out that I don’t know how to do anything quickly, concisely, efficiently, or pleasantly. And having them all as one video would have been a several hour video.
The photos featured in this video, were kind of the bottom of the barrel of the compilation video that never came to be, they wont change anyone’s mind, and they’re not supposed to. The human mind is far to cunning for that.
I have one more photo of an alleged bigfoot that I’ll be uploading soon, and it is actually my favorite bigfoot photo ever, it’s not so much like I want to save the best for last, it’s more like procrastinating the one that I most want to not mess up.

As someone that's carried around many 59lb bags of feed around the farm, I guarentee carrying something heavy and slumpy on the shoulder would be far easier than dragging it.

Your right but if it already had something over it’s shoulder or if to the Bigfoot the deer was between 150-250 pounds it would be light enough to drag easily.. but your point is well taken.. and quite possibly correct
@bfboobie
@bfboobie Год назад
I agree. Used to haul countless 50lb grain sacks for work, sometimes 3-4 at a time and stacked on shoulder was by far the easiest way to haul them. Dragging something that heavy is hard on your fingers not to mention snagging and friction along the ground.

Regarding the second photo, I have a bunch of palm trees out my window that I routinely take pictures of at sunset with my iPhone. They are approximately 100 to 120 feet from me when I take the photos, but the photo always makes them look like they are 500 feet or more away. I have to zoom way in to make them look as they actually are. So, it’s not hard to believe that creature is 50 feet away. Keep up the great work, Bob.

I grew up in the mountains and spent a great deal of time hunting there, and I was fortunate enough to have a grandfather to teach me how to track and you're totally right about how difficult it is. People severely overestimate how easy it is to track something down you've shot, let alone a giant, unwounded biped creature. By the time youd get up to the Ridge, that thing is already miles away
@Man_Emperor_of_Mankind
@Man_Emperor_of_Mankind 9 месяцев назад
...and that's assuming you're trackinbfg something that doesn't know or care about being tracked. It's not particularly difficult to cause problems for trackers if you're intelligent enough to comprehend tracking and don't want to be followed. Even dogs can be confused or deterred from tracking, though losing scent hounds is substantially harder and less reliable than losing human trackers and doing so has more to do with messing with the handler than the dog.

@@Man_Emperor_of_Mankind One problem with your post. All these supposed "Encounters" seem to catch the bigfoot off guard... Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over these encounters seem to be getting rather close and even startling what are supposed to be these notoriously difficult to track and elusive creatures? Mmmmkay. So all thee sightings are thousands of people just getting lucky by accident, but when people mount serious decades long efforts coordinating with entire teams all over the country, not one can come up with even a shred of convincing evidence? Millions of cameras out there, and nothing convincing? Okaaaay. Sorry, this just doesn't add up. These are fun stories, but so far I've seen nothing worth getting excited over. Just stories. Interesting and fun to listen to I'll grant you that. Plus this dude is a great storyteller. But the likelihood of these things being legit? Slim to none.

Ive never got the impression that " all these encounters area "" always a BF being caught off gaurd"" . Not sure how much time youve spent out in the wild but ive caught hundreds of animals off gaurd . 80% have been deer crossing the road infront of me and the eye sight , sence of smell and hearing of deer is hard to match ( to say the least) . Granted the population of deer are huge but so are the # of sightings. I've stumbled across bear , bobcats, elk, even a moose from about 10' away as i came over a hill.3 or 4 or a dozen creditable encounters a year seems to be very feasible when talking about BF. Sounds to me like youre not a believer nor want to be and never will be , which is fine . Do yourself and the rest of us a favor and move on . r@importantvideos4529

To be honest, I was hiking on Mt St Helens alone last year before sunrise. Near treeline, I turned around and saw a pair of eyes glowing in my headlamp at my 7oclock, about 50 yards away. I picked up a rock, threw it, and screamed and waved my hiking sticks around. I honestly thought it was sasquatch. Its not as absurd as it seems to try and scare away an animal bigger than you with a rock. Im from Colorado and being aggressive and making yourself bigger is what we are taught when facing an unexpected or startled animal/predator that is larger than you. I was terrified out of my mind. As far as debris, I was reading about a sighting in east Texas. The Sasquatch was described as half wearing a flannel shirt. There were also reports in the area of clothes being missing from clotheslines. The Sasquatch of Texas and the southeast, are also described as smaller than the ones the the northeast. If I happened to take a photo/video of what I thought could be a Sasquatch, I believe I'd search out the pros and have it analyzed. I'm no longer living in my home state of Texas, but in SE Virginia, where there are sightings too.

Any possible sightings I've had have been too quick and the last one I had an AR-15A2 in my hands out coyote hunting. The collecting/salvaging behavior I don't have a problem with. IIRC, lesser primates, when compared with us and Sasquatch, will often grab items but not do much with them. However Sasquatch certainly will have picked up in humans wearing clothes for warmth by now. Or other materials for shelter.

I live in a very remote area in northern Canada, so I'm not afraid of the woods and know animals mostly want to leave you alone, but I'll tell you from experience, when it's dusk and there's a 45 minute walk between you and your vehicle and you hear a pack of wolves in the same direction, your primal fears creep in, even with a firearm. So I don't blame anyone for not wanting to confront a massive unknown creature in the bush.

oh yeah and about the camera "fracture", i'm a camera guy. my work is recording, photographing and editing, 15 years experience. i've seen all types of camera damage and depending on the angle of the break it can look wildly different from camera to camera. this photo has either a digital filter applied, a physical filter lens (like a polarizing or a cover) that has a hair-fracture that leads to this line effect, or it is being photographed from another screen device with a cracked screen (least likely, due to looking like a photo in .jpg format, with artifacts that match a compressed file). while it is POSSIBLE that a lens break manifests into the picture like this, it's EXTREMELY UNLIKELY. actually, after looking with more attention the full picture you showed, it's a photo taken from a screen showing the picture, and the screen in question has a crack, without question. edited a bit for clarity

I'm so happy you used that camera analogy so many people don't understand that. with a $3000 dslr and a 300mm lens i still delete 70% of my photos after a shoot from blur or bad lighting. always take way more photos than you think you need for this reason. I usually get 300-1000 for a 1-2 hr hike.
@vermis8344
@vermis8344 Год назад
I was going to say something similar! I've heard the argument that 'everyone has a camera in their pockets these days, there should be clear photos'. I agreed, but then I thought, I have trouble getting good photos of wildlife with my 200mm m3/4 lens ( = 400mm FF), and that leaves the camera in any cellphone I've owned in the dust. And camera quality is usually a big factor in what cellphones I buy.
@johndough1703
@johndough1703 Год назад
@@vermis8344 Yes. This is the high minded midwitism you hear tossed around. Scott Adams says the same oversimplification about UFOs. It’s true there are more cameras than ever, but the very mindset of the human carrying the device has been hacked & changed from beings that think outwardly (would take nature photos) to a selfish inwardly viewpoint (selfie obsessed). There are so many factors that can be added to diminish the effectiveness of the “but Muh cell phone cameras R everywhere” but this isn’t a dissertation. Peace.

Speaking of bear encounters and their increasing frequency, the reason is simple. We are steadily encroaching on their habitat and therefor having more encounters. Here in eastern Canada it's becoming quite the headache for the DNR as new housing developments push farther into previously untouched wilderness. As for the bigfoot photos, they're interesting and the stories no less so. Inconclusive, as they must be, but interesting nonetheless. I appreciate your videos, Bob, and look forward to them whenever I'm informed that one has arrived in my feed. You are a great storyteller and that is a quality that is less common than a bigfoot sighting.

When these creatures don't wanna be found, the make good use of distance and forest to disappear (not into thin air). Foot prints don't always show in the ground. And one a personal note, when these creatures know you're heading after them, all it takes is the aggressive ROAR or low Growl to send most humans packing outta there. That is what happened to me when I decided to push further in at the creature I caught a glimpse of.

We don't and aren't allowed to carry firearms. Bear spray at best. Some people carry a bell (bears can barley hear them, but I digress) I run into bears up close and personal at least a dozen times per year and am well aware of the zones they like to hang in at any particular season and most certainly never mistaken a bear for anything other than a bear. I have many bear photos with my phone from southwestern bc, and none are any better than what you have posted here, but most certainly are clearly distinguishable as bears and in no way resemble what you have posted. 🤷‍♀️

I was living in Chilliwack in 2012 when the teapot hill sighting took place. First off there is zero possibility that anyone would be carrying a firearm on that trail during the day. Second, and very interesting, is that there was a second sighting of what many thought was that same Bigfoot which took place either the night before or the night after the teapot sighting. It took place about 20 km away on the Forrest service road up mt Chesm. A male and female 4x4ing up the road encountered the Bigfoot in the dark. I seem recall it was almost at pointblank range, and similar to the teapot sighting the Bigfoot didn’t show much apprehension when encountered.

Bob I've been listening to you for a year and have noticed that everything you say about bigfoot aligns with different people's perceptions (usually brief and honestly "controversial") of reality. It's not just this topic alone that has such nuances. You have an ability to stay down to earth and yet explain your beliefs that remains unchallenged by most people. Despite this, with the way you represent the evidence you've found over the years and the way you present it to us as an audience, even with all of the facts in line, and the ideas correlated and kept in check, I'm left thinking about how vague I sound when explaining anything close to this as an idea. You're right about the cunning of our species's minds. Nothing might match it except for something so otherworldly we wouldn't be able to correctly understand without a final evaluation. Thanks for making these videos for so long. You open the eyes of people who would normally pay things like this no mind. Sincerely, Isaiah

Many a man-eater has been tracked by drag marks, good luck finding one that doesn't want to be found without that help. If a creature was as inclined towards stealth as you suggest a bigfoot would be, avoiding drag marks by carrying a deer over the shoulder instead of dragging it along the ground seems like a sensible adaptation.

Hi Bob, I used to scrutinize BF videos so much that I eventually became overwhelmed by pareidolia, so I stopped doing it. But I learned a great deal before I quit. When we see a Sasquatch it is usually because it is presenting itself to focus our attention so we don't discover what they don't want us to find, other Sasquatch, often young ones and females. What sells the second photo as a real Sasquatch for me are the two black ones hiding in the bushes to the right of the one seeking our attention. They are closer to the camera and appear larger than the pale faced one. I don't think it's pareidolia, but you never know, that's the quandary with video!

I too spent many hours reading Bobbie Short's reports, and she even posted one that I sent in that I got from a co-worker that happened in Vermont. He said a big hairy man ran in front of the car he was in, and froze in the middle of the road in a stiff as a board sort of pose with its arms pointed straight up and together. I believe him from the way he told me, and the odd behavior that I can't see someone making up. I actually did read a report and I forget where now, from New Hampshire possibly (near Vermont for those not familiar) that talked about hairy men that imitated trees, and that seemed like a similar behavior possibly... Anyway, I enjoy your videos and thoughts on all of this!

Its spooked me ever since cause if it was a coon or possum the bag would have been torn up and they wouldn't have left those finger indentations in the plastic .

@@andersheaney7877 - I’m in Edmonton. But I lived in Chilliwack (the now defunct Army base), as a kid, back in the mid 70s. I remember one time a couple of buddies and I decided we were going to go “Sasquatch hunting”. We were 11 or 12 at the time. We bicycled up to Cultus Lake, and went to what everyone called ‘the rafting area’, where the military sort of had a private beach, where they did training. There were many trails that lead up into the mountains on that side of the lake. We had our ‘hunting gear’: canteens of water, one buddy had borrowed his Dad’s binos, and my other buddy had his Mom’s little Instamatic camera. No guns of course. We didn’t plan to shoot anything anyway, other than with the camera. We were probably ten minutes or so into our “hunt”, when one of my buddies asked, “What do we do when we catch one?” It was at that point we suddenly realized we HAD no plan, and we’d have WAY more fun, if we went back to the ‘rafting area’, and went swimming instead. I’m not saying we ran back out of the woods, but we walked really, really fast. lol

They average about 3' tall. It is probably sitting down. So that object might be about 4' to 5' unless it stood up while he was watching. That's how tall I would be sitting in the ferns, which I have. I'm 6' tall.

Thank you for addressing the tired "Why didn't they just follow it?" argument that so many people seem to give when sightings like this come up. It's such a ridiculous proposition and yet for so many who haven't the foggiest idea about animals and the wilderness, they seem all to willing to go plunging headlong into the brush after a curious animal. First of all, you're in the wild, in unfamiliar territory. I don't think people realize just how painfully easy it is to get lost once you've left what you're familiar with and gone off the trail, as it were. Secondly, it's a wild animal that now knows you're following it and trying to catch up. Deer and boar have been known to turn and charge hunters who get too close if they feel there are no other options and both animals are capable of inflicting injuries that can turn a simple hike into a matter of life or death. Now make it an animal several times larger in both weight and height and you've got something that could do serious damage if it really wanted to. And to those who say "It's just a bear," exactly what part of following a bear into it's territory sounds like a good idea to you? Whenever I see an animal in the wild that I KNOW what it is, I watch it for as long as I'm able before letting it go on its way, because following it would put me at risk and set the animal on edge. That's what an intelligent person does with a KNOWN animal, why on earth would someone do anything different with the UNKNOWN?

I spoke to her on the phone and have many emails from her including her newsletter and she would sometimes give away her age unknowingly in a comment here or there, that being said...she is and always will be a LEGEND in this field as her website was an absolute treasure trove of goodies for the enthusiast or historians of this subject.

Nicely done sir. Been missing you on the interwebs. In regards to the cracked phone lens issue - for whatever it's worth...from my experience in the photo and video world I believe the image in question might in reality be a photo of the screen of another phone. The "cracks" are possibly in the phone's screen and not the lens. Those would look different and be much less defined since they would be very close to the sensor. Not that any of this has any bearing on the image itself. It is whatever it is. Just thought I'd throw that out there. I always enjoy your videos and the way you progress through your deductions in an orderly and logical way. As a bigfoot field investigator myself I appreciate that process. Work through each step in the chain in an orderly fashion and where ever that takes you is probably the correct answer. Even if it IS sometimes strange and unusual.

Hi, I'm a semi-professional photographer. You're correct about the lens. You can actually draw a giant 'x' on the front of a lens with lipstick and take a picture, and it will only result in a lack of sharpness, especially with longer focal lengths. The cracks seem to be more in focus than the rest of the picture, which makes no sense. All I could think that happened here is that the crack is on the sensor, which is very possible.

But in this case the difference between a fawn and an adult primate known to be tall and strong is such that it might be able to carry that fawn like we might carry some groceries. So hard to say what it might do. But I agree it would probably carry an adult deer on a shoulder. Why bother with having to manage that weight with your arms when you don't have to?

The bend in the trail seemed like a perfect place to ambush an unwary hiker (especially one with headphones on) as they'd have their back turned after making the left turn. The victim would be fully focused on what lay ahead on the trail. The fact that our National Parks are fully aware of the potential danger is very disconcerting when I think about the families that visit-unaware of what's happening.
