These two could've been the best example of LGBTQ+ representation in the mainstream media. The chemistry was natural, the relationship was healthy, the actors were invested in it. We were fucking robbed.

Y’know what I get that Disney is all about the money but no matter how many people don’t watch the movie because of an onscreen finnpoe kiss you can undoubtedly say that so many more people would buy 10-fold the merch and watch the movie so many more times to make up the money and so much more that it wouldn’t matter. All they need is an onscreen kiss, two main characters, that don’t just die, who have so much chemistry and would definitely be together if not for the fact that they’re both men. It’s cannon to me. They’ve been dating since after the first movie, second at the least. Finn wants to talk to Ray so much to tell her that they’re dating. They kiss when they reunite in the third movie. That’s what fucking happens.

Loved this edit and the song worked perfectly! I've never actually watched Star Wars but i've seen how strong their chemistry was and how invested Oscar and John were in portraying the ambiguity of their relationship to the absolute limit that Disney would allow. Speaking as someone who doesn't watch Star Wars, Finn and Poe together would have been SUCH a powerful move (and like Oscar says, original), so much potential lost.

I do not care how many other supposed ex-"romantic interest" they write into the story. These two are practically married, and nothing and no one can convince me otherwise.

I've kept a tab with this very video up for the last week. Every time I see the title, I become emotional. The song. The clips. The chemistry. The love... Well done. 💜 I didn't notice these "Space husbands" as I like to call them, at first. But as I was watching episode 9, they just completely stole the show. I hate that they had their potential wasted, both as a couple and as individual characters. We could've gotten three movies about Finn finding his own place in the galaxy, forging his own path and learning how to use his force sensitivity. We could've seen Poe, as general Leia's second in command, balancing his morally ambiguous past with his current devotion to the cause. All we got were glimpses of these deeply interesting characters, and you managed to capture and highlight moments that I had forgotten, but that show the deep bond between them. It didn't necessarily have to be outspoken, but that they were so forcefully pulled apart and put on the sidelines... It truly is a shame.
