I love watching too. I started a bin with cocoons only (about 60) and ended up with more than 500 worms 6 months later. I think my first cocoons are great grandparents now!!!!!
Possibly some cocoons haven't hatched yet. Also are the cocoons ENC?, because on bin label it seems to say "ANC". Thanks for a very interesting video. I will subscribe now.
Random Q: What about genetic diversity..? Are two worms enough to create a whole population, or is variance needed to keep worm population diverse, avoiding mutations (similar to humans**)? Just a nerdy thought... thank you for the videos!!
Po Rith two worms are fine. The problem is that they take a long time to create a decent number of worms. I did another experiment called The Mating Game. I used 5 mature worms of each species I have. The numbers were impressive. If you haven’t seen it, you may enjoy watching that series.
