The Elm house stuff had been widely discredited and were found to be the invention of Carl Beech (otherwise known as "nick"). He was a convicted paedophile himself who'd made the story up to try and get compensation out of the tax payer. The stuff they really should have been focusing on is what happened with Cyril Smith at the Coronation Buildings.
