Two methods to sew and trim half rectangle triangles. 

Thank you so much for this. I am a quilt teacher in Canada. With the price of rulers combined with exchange, the majority of my students are not purchasing specialty rulers. So I have been searching for a clear concise vid on you tube for them. Your's fits the bill. I'll teach them but your vid will serve as a reference they can use again & again. Sincere thanks for taking the time. ❤

This block is one of those that if I didn't have Deb's ruler (or TriRecs tool), I wouldn't bother to make it. I make hundreds of the blocks for projects. The efficiency of the tool for both time and fabric is unbeatable. Rulers are an investment. I like to have them for my foundational blocks where they more than pay for themselves in time, effort, money.

This is the best demo I have seen on trimming the half square rectangles. When you mentioned you were a lefty I understood why I followed you so well. I am also a lefty and proud of it!!!❤😊
