How does another department not do their due diligence? And if they do, how could they think this would be a good hire? Custodians have more integrity than the police do.
It's So DISGUSTING ! Here we R still paying for their Job . U would think we would b able to put a Stop to this kind of corruption . But here We R wanting some Justice .
That's misfeasance in office by those who hire them. You can file one at the clerk of courts office at any court house. It's also not affected by qualified immunity either.
Now think for a moment about how everything you just said about cops also applies to doctors and nurses. When they catch them stealing opioids to feed their own addiction, the hospital wants to keep it quiet so they fire them without a report.
They need to make a nationwide database so these disgraceful people don't get rehired. If social workers and attorneys have these databases, why not cops?!
Not SENIORITA BONITA. How bout police officers who had killed unarmed people and got away In court. And especially police brutality tours our community
There is now a Brady List of crooked cops to try and ban these criminals that have been caught perjuring in court and making false police reports. @@howlinwulf
This crap won't change unless there's state and federal legislation that manages this specific problem. Without a system of check and balances, there'll never be such a thing called accountability. These bad cops with a bad history are no different than criminals with criminal records.
As long as your average person believes in authority, nothing will change. The belief in authority is what causes someone to say "this class of people that wear badges have a right to use violence to control everyone else."
The problem is they NEVER get the Death penalty when they murder people until that changes they will obv KNOW for FACT that they are in fact above the law... you can't have people KNOWING they are above the Law & then acting like they are CONSTRAINED by the law as well bcuz that's a contradiction- it's like abortion >>> the worst form of child abuse is MURDER yet you expect women to NOT abuse their children when you have already told them that the worst form of child abuse IS THEIR RIGHT... so these contradictions need to cease... but that won't happen in my lifetime & at this juncture I can pretty much guarantee that the USA will no longer exist before our 400th birthday- already there is ZERO acknowledgement by ANYONE of the GOD Endowed RIGHTS of the PERSON & the CUSA RESTRAINT on gov't POWERS... so soon no one will even use those words like today everyone talking about citizens & CUSA rights when they are GOD Endowed RIGHTS of the PERSON- citizen or not & the RESTRAINT on gov't powers... so it's just a matter of time until the corporofascism that has replaced REAL Capitalism, the socialism that has replaced REAL Democracy, the burgeoning global surveillance police state & empire that has replaced the Union of sometime goodly state Republics etc etc runs it's course & consigns the USA to the junkbin of history like every other "republic" that ever arose only to be perverted into police state & empire... the soup is getting thin viz the American Experiment in Liberty & Freedom is what I am saying... Voters, need to contact both state/federal legislators to demand bills be put in place to protect every American from lawless corrupt police officers and STOP them from working in this field again. TY.

It's not almost a disgrace.. it is a disgrace. These police departments share databases, do background checks, etc. You do this for officers too, or should be. There's really 0 excuse, other than lazy hiring.
@@matthewronson5218I agree-- I went rural a few years ago-- lived in what became Bobo's district overnight. Every local election, Glops would introduce 'new' candidates for county commissions or sherrif, school boards, city council or police chief, etc-- as if we couldn't connect the dots. (plenty didn't). They had recruited 'troubled' officers, one of whom was viral due to beating up an old woman elsewhere and laughing about a gruesome detail at the station-- running for Police Chief... There's a Reason in this underbelly tactic-- they're arming for a 'righteous' war, and need sherrifs and enforcers who are willing to Defy the law, when and if they can take over. School Boards that defy teaching reality, Sherrifs that enforce laws 'selectively', and commissioners who direct favors to the old guard... Imagine the collective power in any state, of dozens of remote counties having been engineered this way, now infecting statehouses... aaand now I sound like a conspiracy theorist 😂... but it has happened-- and we're dealing with the chaos now. I only said the word conspiracy, because I saw a whitewashed lesson plan for young Republicans 15 years ago-- It wasn't entitled 'How to take over your Government', and didn't imply nefarious or dangerous actions... but did engage them with arguments for anything from abortion rights to religious 'freedoms' and gun control. Literally teaching them the Words and Phrases to use, when confronted with evidence. Kinda like the Police Union, huh?
On the flip side, many officers are leaving agencies that are corrupt, don't fit in or are pushed out. I've seen both sides. But in Joslin's case working for that many different agencies is unheard of.
Low hiring standards, public denied access to disciplinary records, and excessive pay are thanks to the unions and the politicians who take their money. It's disgusting and Americans deserve much better for what they're forced to pay
Almost a disgrace?! 😳🙄🤦♂️🤷♂️ That’s the attitude that’s ruining police reputation! It should be an absolute disgrace and the practice should end immediately!!!
Officers rarely get fired officially. They are almost always allowed to resign before facing disciplinary action and get to keep a relatively clean record that way.
@population-_-420 if you look at the funding law enforcement gets, almost all get more funding after the defund the police movement. Not less. They have also done a lot of in house cleaning of bad apples, even hiring more officers. Not less.
I think because it might count as doxxing depending on local, state, and federal laws and then all of a sudden the webmaster has law enforcement suddenly come in after them. Very few people would want to take that risk in addition to all the work that would be involved.
The recycling of these kinds of officers is far to rampant in law enforcement. The bar and standards are set way to low for law enforcement to the point of being non existent. Their needs to be a mandated national database of these kinds of officers. When law enforcement officers break the law, they need to have their certification permanently revoked.
They belong to a union. The union and its officers who are also law enforcement personnel cover for each other in the cloak of brotherhood. It's a secret society that must come to an end.@@karinaz8756
I am a REAL catholic [aka UNIVERSAL church] & I agree with you 100% TREASON has become the established order in America Today- TRUTH & FACT JESUS IS the TRUTH satan IS the father of ALL LIES & LIARS
Lost sight? That was never a thought in their head. Not a possibility, not a mindset, not an afterthought, not a consideration. They get big heads in their training and supervisors encourage abuse, ignorance of the law and trampling on people’s rights. Their motto….keep cops ignorant of the law at any and all costs.
@@JJCelestino What does her superficial beauty have to with conduct? Was the information she sent, helping victims? Content might be misleading but hiring a fired person might not be best interest of the community. If the former officer has good reason I will hope someone can cover.
Thank you for the incredible work you have done exposing the corruption the Officers and Coffee City have been involved in. How is it possible that John Joslin has worked for 22 agencies in 30 years? Are hiring departments dropping the ball on background checks??
People always tell me, "not all cops are bad". I tell then yes they are, if they are not standing up and telling others about the bad cops, then they are just as guilty.
As a Texan I’m far more afraid of law enforcement than I am of criminals. I’ve never had a criminal charge but I feel if I run across the wrong officer on a bad day they could just ruin my life for nothing. I would rather just deal with criminals.
You don't have to be a Texan to be more afraid of cops than non-badge wearing criminals. I live on the east coast; and I've feared my life being destroyed by cops more than any non-badge wearing criminal my entire life.
Texas and Arizona “law” is out of control. In Texas, a LEO can simply arrest you because they don’t like your attitude/cooperation. Look into it, fact.
Yet none of the coffee city council is facing consequences. They knew what was going on, probably encouraged it because of the revenue being brought in.
I live in St Louis. in St Louis county alone, we have 91 municipalities with some 60 independent police departments. some of them are less than 2 square miles, it's insane. and recently there's been stories about corrupt cops getting fired by one dept only to be hired by another. it's a major problem
Let us know when its safe to drive through Coffee City. Its been a no go zone for a long time. Guess someone actually realized the corruption and acted on it.
This is a norm when crooked cops are hired through another agency or county. The problem here is the system and how it's run by an outdated policy of hiring experienced cops. They have got to fixed that pronto!!
The Thin Blue Line meets just about every requirement of an organized gang. They put their allegiance to one another above and beyond any oath to protect and sever the public, and that is a big problem IMHO.
Corruption is far more rampant in the Govt that defines policy! These are 2 bad apples in a bunch, not a bunch of bad apples! The system rooted them out. It works! You clowns need to get over yourselves! The Govt is taxing you into poverty!
There needs to be a federal database of these criminal cops. If you get discharged from one force for criminal conduct you shouldn’t just be able to go to another one, you should be in PRISON.
No, that was her look alike. Many of them do seem to look exactly alike. Especially the females. They tend to try to be us guys, but never will be. I'd never let any female try to man handle me. That would be her final day on that job. Women should never try to do a job meant for a man. Not with me they won't.
These two cops are now working for Donutburg vice. It's reported that as much as they loved walking the beat in Coffee City, they finally found their "oasis" in Donutburg and they hope to retire from there!
And the answer to that is to Abolish by law the concept of Qualified Immunity! Nobody but nobody should be above the law, and anybody should be able to be sued for wrongdoing!
This same thing happens in the Medical Industry. "Less than" medical people flit from one medical facility to another. When (if?) backgrounds are checked, they come up clean even though there should be charges of misconduct in the personnel file. Some of the "less thans" have committed murder and yet are able to move on to another medical facility.
As a Vet I am at a complete loss how our Police system does not follow the same guidelines as the Military. If you get a Dishonorable discharge YOU'RE DONE and get dropped off at the front gate to never enter again.
@@oneblessedladyallsbrook1057actually that’s a lie, a city named Fredrickburg just had its first murder in 4 years, small town of 1500 look you are wrong small cities don’t need pigs
Thank you for reporting and updating on corrupt cops and departments!! Citizens have a right to know. More of this needs to be shown on the news and not just RU-vid. Great job KHOU! 👍
2:52 "...it's almost a disgrace in some cases!" It is absolutely a disgrace, not almost. The fact is that "wandering police" is such a common practice that it has a commonly ascribed and recognized name.
The officer that killed Tamir Rice works at another department now, uncharged. And he's not the only one who simply just got hired at another department.
Not never. But very rarely. And when they do face charges-the prosecutor almost always gives them a slap on the wrist.Ive seen a case where a cop brutally tortured a man and has his charges plead down to disorderly conduct and a 75$ fine.Oh and of course he kept his job like always.
Because a bunch of right-winguts would cry foul for so called 'states rights' and whine about federal overreach. A lot of small towns get off on being corrupt with no oversight..but they'd rather focus on the bigger metro cities where many are watching. People like that are always pro police & pro accountability until they are under the microscope
In the business world, the magic question you always ask when you always call their previous employers "are they eligible for rehire?" That is one of the few things they can disclose about a bad former employee. It stems from multiple lawsuits where a criminal act by an employee was hidden by a previous employer and then repeated with the new employer. There should be a formal requirement for a Police Department to identify if a officer that worked for them is eligible for rehire.
It is super expensive to get rid of these kind of cops. They love to sue. My aunt was one of them. I think she sued two different cities for wrongful termination and gender discrimination. The sad thing is that she recieved money from both claims in settlements. She is a fat sad lady that has filed for bankruptcy at least once. I feel ashamed that she is related to me.
@jamesr2888 Absolutely, I stay away from her like the plague. If I even hear through the grapevine that she has been in my part of the state, I make sure to check my bank statements and the locks on my doors. Bad things happen wherever she goes. Luckily, I have not seen her in 6 years. If I am lucky, it will be the rest of her life. I do feel bad that there are people who have to deal with her wherever she is. I am sure she is mooching off someone or the government somewhere.
@Look_What_You_Did Yep. My family tree seems to bear two types of fruit. About half the family are hard working, pay our taxes, and have moderately successful types. The other half hates work, is generally lazy, filed for bankruptcy at least once, abuses some substance. Some branches are all one type, and others are a mix. I have even seen it skip generations. I am guessing there is some sort of mental defect that runs through the family. I am likely a mild case or a carrier due to the fact that I am in the moderately successful half.
This is a clear reason why there needs to be a nationwide list of LEOs who are fired from any Dept, that way they can't be re-hired at other PDs in nearby cities, states or towns over.
