Earlier in March, the US Embassy in Moscow sent out an alert to American citizens in Russia to stay away from large crowds and gatherings. Additionally, the US side warned the Russian side of a potential for a terrorist attack on large crowds. The US is not at fault, and in fact tried to give Russia heads up. Russia played its hand, and has shown for the past two years that it is weak, emboldening adversaries.

Russia should not be sitting on the U.N. security council. It is NOT the U.S.S.R. that formerly held that seat. It is a new country as of the early nineties. How does Russia still have full voting power, when it isn't the original signer of the treaty and original security member when it was another entity in the form of the U.S.S.R.? More proof of the insanity of the situation. Russia should not have a seat on the UN security council and needs removed from its position of power in the United Nations.
Unfortunately, Russia has nukes. Anybody with nukes should be on the Security Council, lest they get pissy over a decision they had no voice in and destroy the world.
