This is by far my new favorite opening. When you give away two pieces in the opening and stockfish says it's almost equal, you know it's good. Keep making these awesome videos :)

@@chessandmathguy in the beginning you throw away 2 pawns, a Knight, and a Bishop for 1 pawn and a check. To me that's more than a 1 piece difference.

@@JonathanSchrantz After watching your game which I believe was with Krishnaprasad, I opened up a gambit with some poor soul who I took advantage of two ways. My chess.com rating is not reflecting my true rating yet and I was paired with a weak player. Even after missing a killer move or two as you did, I still came out victorious. What an interesting opening. I can't believe it is practically unknown.

This opening looks like real fun. I probably should do some analyse on this opening, just to play e4 if I got the feeling that my opponent could go into this variation.

Have been looking to expand my repertoire and this looks like a lot of fun, I dont have a lot of confidence with a lot of e4 openings, I typically open d4 and try to get a few opening traps I know for an easy position. Thanks for uploading this!

At 6;59, knight e5 wins right? no matter where the king goes there’s a discover check winning the queen after knight to c6

Saw your videos and I've been going for this all day. At 1600-1800 elo I can't get anyone to play Nf6 early enough for this to work. Good news is I've had a lot of stellar Evan's Gambit games in the process (I usually exclusively play F4 in response to 1...E5).

What matters in this gambit is when they do not fall on your traps ..so need more variations for this..
@DillPicklePatrick

I found a solution(I think, just thought of it maybe you can try it out for me?) if they capture with knight instead of pawn you could play bishop g5 pressuring the queen. If it captures you play knight g5. If it makes a move like qf6 then you play rook e1 checking, then they kinda have to move kd8. From there you have a better position(in my head at least) and have their queen in exchange for the pawn and knight you sacrificed!

My personal opinion: I myself wouldn't ask that the engine be turned but it makes sense to turn it on so people that are curious can look, I have no problem just not paying it any attention as the concepts explained I believe are more important. **What I do fear though is you might feel obligated to explain why the engine might disagree with, or not support u and that it would become a distraction** if you don't think that will happen then pay that remark no mind. Ty for the awesome analyses as always!

hey, i just won a game in 6 moves using your concepts. I play at 1500+ not very impressive but the game is interesting. thank you for that. love your videos. after i played the move me and openent were making that classic trash talk in the coments, and i started to think and i don t see any out for black in this. maybe he could sacrifice the knight moving it to h6 seems the only move to prevent check mate. www.chess.com/live/game/5289490197 i would always go for the italian game before watching your videos.

Dense and divergent analysis, with everything presented quite quickly. I have no doubt that for other strong players, it is solid, helpful, and comprehensive. With all due respect, however, for the lesser chess mortals among your (potential) viewership, following along a seemingly never-ending progression of alternate ideas and lines, it becomes quite frustrating. Of course, one could view it over and over, I suppose, stopping and repeating the troublesome sections, until eventually all of the threads begin to take hold and coalesce into a useful set of ideas. If your intention is to target the higher-rated echelon of chess players, no problem. If your intention is to target the vast majority of lesser-rated players, then I believe that this video falls a bit wide of that mark.

"Actually" is an extra unneeded word. Repeated over and over in this clip...remove the word "actually" .....you would actually be doing us a favor.
