I purchased the standing pouch in black and it’s great. The material feels like cotton and is a very deep black colour, as are the pull tabs and logo. The only thing I don’t care for is that the cotton isn’t waxed like you would see in a Filson cotton. This causes the Belroy standing pouch in black to pick up every tiny bit of lint when it’s in my bag, or on my desk. Aside from that I love it. It does stay standing without much fuss at all. Because of the gusseted design it keeps getting flatter as you remove items and expands when it needs to. This thing can hold a LOT. I highly recommend it!

Great review. Can you tell the hand feel for each material? Having each colorway using a different material means different hand feel for each colorway.

Good question - there's definitely a variance in the tactile feel of each material. The Marine Blue is a bit more of a rigid nylon kinda like xpac fabric, whereas the Limestone is your typical soft woven polyester (much like a lot of Bellroy's earlier bags). Hope that helps! - Ed

I can already see the PD tech pouch is much more versatile than these. I have the PD and one very similar to this Bellroy and the PD is leagues better.

I agree with Jammi, they're in a different category just because of the sheer carry capacity. These pouches really are for the bare essentials, whereas the PD Tech Pouch offers a plethora of compartments and slots and so makes it more of a tech catch-all than a pick-your-essentials. Hope that makes sense! :) - Ed
