Wow , I had forgot about these , it really just needs a good cleaning as far as the chassis is concerned. I think those were out of my price range when they were released. That Vega in the box is awesome.

Thanks for the great video Mick, just got home from work and I see this, cracked a beer and remember the price of these . Of course my $10 a week paper rounds were never going to get this. They are way ahead of the time back then. Amazing find mate , now I'm impressed with the wife's kyosho boat , top quality from kyosho as usual. The receiver and servo are inside a waterproof box ,I've already had a boat stuck in the middle of the lake because it got a wet receiver but it's a cheap joysway I paid $28 for , I just wanted my batteries back. Wife's $1300 miss geiko 6s melted it's flex shaft liner , the kyosho shaft is cold . Sometimes the expensive stuff fails too. I wouldve went for a TLF Zonda but it's the game .things break and happen. $5 and it's fixed . Need to get a rescue boat so I don't have to get in the lake in my jocks to get the barsted out of there . Will be great to see that beast run , seems like it would be like a Blitzer beetle to drive but handle better with 4wd . Have a good weekend mate, enjoy those beasts .

I remember when I was a kid seeing the Alien Mid in R/C car action magazine but I never saw one in real life haha.

Unfortunately my local toy shop which was huge and amazing and despite having a full floor of RC cars from wall to ceiling, only managed to stock Tamiya cars and so , although I always wanted a Rock N City I only ever got to see them in Model Cars Monthly or Radio Race Car magazine. I am now so jealous, can’t find a New in Box City anywhere 🙄

I have a Rock'in City unfortunately it needs some spare parts. I need a chassis and belt cover. I made a new chassis but its too heavy and it's really slow. Also the original shocks were worn out so i replaced them with aftermarket shocks . The body has cracked winscreen pillars. I'd love to get it going again.

I bought a new hirobo Hilux .. $99.00 from a certain hobby shop around 1991/2/3 or there abouts.. Still have it. Still have the box to.. only things the bumper was broken. The body is fragile. A few cracks have started around the body post holes.
