Head on the same side of the leg you are reaping? I was taught to place it on other side so you don’t get countered to your weak side. Is same side meant for this particular move or for ouchi gari in general?
AMERICAN JUDO SYSTEM: THE OSOTO-GARI ENCYCLOPEDIA BY JIMMY PEDRO & TRAVIS STEVENS My pet peeve is the random pricing of the set that does not make any sense. It is broken down into 8 sections. Two of the modules are extremely short, one is 1 min & 43 seconds and the other is 8 mins & 30 seconds ! Only two modules are 27 & 33 minutes in length. The rest are under 30 mins each. The pricing is expensive for 2 1/2 hours of instruction that could have easily fit on 2 DVDs and priced accordingly. Judo Fanatics should have charged $47.00 (the price they usually charge for a 2 dvd set) For example, I also purchased Travis Stevens 1-8 Newaza Mastery . On that set 4 of the modules are 1 hour or longer each. The rest are all at least 30 mins long. And the price of the Newaza set is $77.00. The pricing inconsistencies are irritating. If they are going to charge a lot, the set should be longer. Like there other 8 volume sets. For the price of 127.00 I expected each module to be at least 1 hour and the other modules at the very least 30-45 mins long.
