Hi Monti, I really liked the volume of the sleeve and the cap. I haven't tried sewing a two piece sleeve yet but am going over all my YT lessons for it because I want to re-taylor my hubby shirts and put in new sleeves. I think the problem that happened with the underarm seam ending up at the front and back of this sleeve happened because you missed a step in the drafting. Peggy Sager has a great demonstration of how to manipulate the sleeve sloper to get the bend, but she did not sew up her draft for us to see it. Hence I kept researching so your lesson was a valuable lesson for me. Thank you so much! Yes, you can to a sleeve without a pattern, but it's easier to make a basic block and work from there. You'll get the fit quicker and more accurate this way. Here's the link to my basic sleeve video. It might help you! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xVYq6zH2nuQ.html
