Truth. BTS renewed their contract with Bighit Entertainment today for the second time, the previous contract ending date was set for 2027 but BTS pre signed the contract which will be begin from 2025 after the members return from military. 💜
I saw a video which explained that BigHit asks BTS about renewal at the 5 year point because it takes time and resources to plan a tour (ex booking stadiums, travel and promos) so they need to be assured the band is staying with the label.
All BTS members have stocks in Hybe company , and all BTS members have been investing. As far as I know BTS are the only kpop group who has stocks with their label. Not to mention they also bring in 4.9 billion a year into Korea. BTS don't even need to pave the way, BTS are the way for kpop and Korea.
Truth hurts, but no American artists can hold a candle to what BTS achieved and it started with their blood, sweat, tears. They didn't get big by accident. They have the talent, intelligence, character, humbled and the hunger to make it so they can be heard. And having the largest fandom bigger than the Beatles and MJ. Even today, there's no comparison.
@@TripTipsPodcast I know, even my daughter whom doesn’t really listen to K-pop, can’t believe it either. And ARMY is global, not just in US. BTS is known in South Africa than Taylor Swift or Beyoncé.
Recently in a livestream, RM was reading chat messages and someone said “BTS paved the way”, he read it out loud, giggled to himself and said “that’s funny, but that’s true”. Hahahsuahauhsua I love our leader. BTS just renewed their contracts with bighit once again. Today is a big celebration day for ARMY. In 2 days suga is entering his military service. From what I understand he’s going to be doing desk work bc of his shoulder injury, which also means he’ll have to serve 3 months more than the others. But army will be here to support all of them waiting until they come back to us in 25. Apobangpo
No one is discrediting previous kpop groups/artist it's not an insult to admit BTS paved the way to make Kpop known globally because it's the fact that's what BTS have done.
No one is discrediting the hard work the groups do, that is why the creator explicitly stated what "paved the way" means...making a road EASIER to travel. The groups prior established what is kpop and BTS became apart of that but the fact is BTS took it to a level it had not been and sustained that level long enough that the music industry had no choice but to pay attention and make it apart of the global pop culture and that is just a fact. She gave all the facts on the video.
I'm so surprised you said this as she actually states that she is not discrediting them in the beginning of the video and went through the impact of the first and second generation however they did not pave the way for other groups as BTS on an international level, BTS had to work super hard to open these doors and make the way paved and because of their experience they have been actively helping the next gen of Kpop. You REALLY REALLY need to watch Suchwita!! Suga meets his own idols of Kpop in 2 episodes and credits them with helping BTS...Taeyang (From BigBang and who did Vibe with Jimin and Tablo, he looked up to both hugely.) BTS really admired many Kpop groups and artists. BUT now they are making the way easier too. In Suchwita TXT members said how much Suga helped and supported them and that Jhope and Jimin also kept in touch regularly. As did Hoshi from Seventeen. They actively support and help other groups and these groups say how much easier it is for them to impact the world stage because of BTS.....
As someone who has listened to korean music and kpop for many years now, BoraCityMagazine wasn't discrediting any other artists, like she said in the video she wasnt denying the other artists work. Thats why i cant agree with "the other artists opened doors" i saw what happened after some of the second gen groups where basically pushed out of america and psy etc, it scared the companies and artists so no one attempted it after. Doors were partially opened and then locked shut. I was already following bts when they got their forst billboard win, the members were shocked, armies were shocked, antis were shocked. No one could believe it. They were already really big in asia and in some european countries. But they had never recieved so much hate after that first billboard win, yet they still kept going, which the prior generations didn't/ couldn't do. Then companies and groups started following how bts managed this and are still to this day trying to recreate BTS, which you cant. Its like trying to recreate michael jackson. It's not possible, nor is there a need to. They are them. Now other groups have collaborated with american and western artists after bts, performing annualy at places like cochella, Lollapalooza etc. I've never seen a grpup of people have such a massive impact on the world and people. Spreading positivity, reality and making people kinder to each other. ARMY is full of beautiful people who are so kind to total strangers and have charities, study groups, college guides, event organisers etc. That all came about because of the beauty of bts.
Agreed, definitely wasn't discrediting anyone. And maybe some context should've been included in the vid. Wonder Girls was first on the Hot 100 in 2009 but never appeared again .. then it took almost 3 years for the next, which was Psy (had a run of 4 songs) but didn't appear again until That That with Yoongi A lot of other BB charts are similar too, a handful of artists appearing for a specific time frame then maybe never again or having a big gap between them & BTS .. some appear on charts that are discontinued soon after .. and others BTS are one of few or the 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 artists on them
Im not a blink etc but i follow along with lots of groups news wise and talk to fans of other groups and the thing with BP is, it's mostly the company who have really caused them declining plus the reason they were formed in the first place. The fans really did try and support them etc, but so many fans had been let down or realised they aren't collectively a music driven group after the most recent comback. They don't write or have much creative artistic imput into their music. They were formed to be the "prettier version of 2ne1" said by their company YG. They were never formed to be musical artists. You have lisa who is a dancer at heart, Rosé who is musically pationate, Jisoo who is an actress, jennie the social media influencer. Very different spheres of people. During their two year hiatus you could really see that, they work better as solo acts doing their own thing. And I'm not saying that the members hate or dislike each other (i dont know their personal lives etc). I also know a lot of people were not happy due to them being branded as "a symbol of female empowerment" when most of theor songs are about men, money, fame, belittling other women. These songs are not written by them ofcourse, but it's not nice (as a women myself) to have these songs performed and labelled as female empowerment. If i want female empowerment from a song, ironically a male group has songs thay i feel are way more feminist and they are written by the members of the group with women writers as well. Or I will listen to some Red Velvet, BIBI, mamamoo and those groups and soloists.
@@TripTipsPodcast from what I’ve heard they haven’t confirmed whether they’ve resigned or not. It’s rumored that one of the members, Lisa, rejected YG’s renewal contract offer. YG came out and said it’s still being discussed
I love your opinion 💜 Fun fact about my self, i knew Blackpink before BTS, yeah 😂 I love to listen some of BP'songs, but i have no interest to do deep dive into any group till i found BTS. Idk, they are just so different. These boys, OMG, i never imagine as a mom of 3, that i would have this kinda feeling about a group of singers 😂
28:13 As if that were not enough, they had the audacity to say in a song "We pave the way and take the lead, if we leave there will be nothing left but the rest, what a mess” 💀💀💀 These girls have very questionable attitudes, on one occasion they asked her if she would like to collaborate with another Kpop group and they made a face of total disgust while saying no. I don't know if it's the company that demanded that image from them or if they are naturally like that.
actually, western awards and charts starting to create separate kpop categories is the result of their butthurt bc a korean artist is winning over american artists. it was a way to exclude bts from main conversations, even though bts' impact and numbers proved they have a place among global musical acts. even English bts songs were categorized as kpop instead of being nominated for pop, dance, mv, summer song, etc this doesn't benefit bts because they are capable in competing against huge names, but it's beneficial for the rest of kpop as the kpop categories are the only chance for other groups to enter the conversation at all
The worst is Grammys.... how they handled Bts performance, kept announcing theyre up next for the whole show which is about 3 hours, but was actually 2nd to last, 5 nominations and not a single win, especially for Butter....
Yeah it's not to include korean artists into the awards, that's just how they're sugarcoating it. It's so they can exclude BTS from the major awards, by including them in only kpop award nominations, in order to stop their impact from competing with western artists, which is their true and only competition
The narrator speak FACTS. She's thankful for Kpop groups before BTS for introducing Kpop but those Kpop groups never made the path easier for others to enter. As we all know, the Big Three (SM, YG, JYP) companies love to bully artist from small companies and only want their artists to shine. Their artists always get more promotion and get invited in many Korean variety shows. Those Big Three companies are also one of the reason why BTS took longer time to get popular. Now, there are so many Kpop artists being recognized and get to enter international market due to BTS hardwork. #BTSPavedTheWay
17:49 I personally disagree. As someone who grew up in Asia and has been listening to K-Pop since the 2000s, the impact of what the past groups compared to BTS is relatively small. Yes, people know them, but they didn't make the 'K-Pop' we know today become a part of pop culture convo or even be considered 'mainstream'. The argument didn't 'discredit' them. But they don't pave the way like BTS is doing. I'm not sure about 'opening doors' either. If talking about the korean music industry or some others asian country, then sure. We do acknowledge that they have a hand in keeping the 'K-Pop' industry going, but they def didn't make it easier at all for the next generations of idols.
Agreed, idk where they got the idea that she was discrediting anyone or group. They may have contributed to the kpop industry and began before BTS but they didn't pave the way or open any doors for anyone. Kpop as a general concept was not mainstream until BTS, it was a niche interest that very few talked about. BTS made it mainstream, therefore paving the way
In my opinion Blackpink were excellent as a band but as time went by they discovered their strong side as independents - Jisoo the actress, Lisa the dancer, Jenny the model. Rosק - solo artist. I'm sure everyone thought about it long before they took the next step of being independent. With BTS it's different because as much as they are good individually, they have become a real family and this is very rare in my opinion, so as much as they love and are good individually, they really want and are good at teamwork שnd all seven members together need each other as co-workers, as good friends and as family. After all, they have been through so much in their lives and this is what forged and strengthened them and made them who they are today
not sure if you already know but BTS have signed another contract, their second renewal with big hit so ARMYs are confident that the boys will be together again in 2025. you're one of the most genuine reactors I've been following. SUBSCRIBED!
As my father would have said 'Jealousy makes you unable to see further than your own nose'. It's closed mindedness, unable and unwilling to see the opportunities because your pride gets in the way.

Bts has never said they paved the way because they are humble and I respect them for that. It’s a known fact that bts paved the way yet there are people that deny bts’s impact. Bts opened doors for kpop to get even bigger around the world, kpop used to be mostly popular only in Asia but bts made it popular EVERYWHERE. Today it was announced bts renewed their contract and they donated 1 billion won to unicef in armys name as a way to celebrate, bts and armys will continue to grow stronger in the coming years. I can’t wait to see what 2025 holds for armys and bts. 😆

Anyone else heard that “Put your hands down! You are in America!” as they were taking pictures and making money from the people they practically insulted?
She wasn’t discrediting prior artists, they inspired BTS, she is saying that they didn’t make it easier for others, even groups from bigger companies. The antis spend a lot of time trying to discredit this one statement which is crazy. It doesn’t take away from them to admit BTS’s accomplishments. Also, while BTS is in the military, they should just work hard. Girl groups don’t have to go in the military so this is an opportunity for them to get more attention but their fans spend hour’s every day working against BTS.
It’s not just the antis who are saying negative things about BTS and discrediting them for their paving the way for K-pop to have a more smoother ride in the western & American music market. It’s the other fandom’s who caused a lot of problems there are other fans from other Kpop groups who try to use false statements on Social media to try to tear down our BTS Boys! The fanwars till this very day continuously to discredit BTS and HYBE labels their company which has exceeding over the three power houses of South Korean entertainment agencies! Forbes magazine wrote an article about how HYBE is the leading K-pop agency and South Korea! 🇰🇷 BoraHae 💜
@@TripTipsPodcast It's not BTS fans but it's Solo fans who want BTS to split up as they keep up a false narrative that the Jimin, Jungkook and V don't want to be in BTS and that the other's are stopping them as solo artist plus the company is also holding them back and treating them unfairly. The join other Kpop group fans to tear down BTS in the hope they can get what they want. It's dreadful.
@@TripTipsPodcastEven for votings, multiple fandoms team up to vote against Bts so someone else can win, but Bts has won because Armys are just really huge. Also, social media, realtime translations, properly streaming, voting, organizing charity/donations, music sites, etc...have been ways Armys support and promote Bts with the help of many Army created sites and platforms and with the help of these sites and platforms we became a self organized community, Army has been growing slowly but steadily over the past 10 years...Ive been Army since 2016, but many have been around since predebut Bts, many Armys are no longer fans and we gain newer Armys every year, especially in 2017, Bts kept getting bigger because Armys were getting bigger and understanding how our fandom community works. Armys clean up after themselves after concerts, they organize the trash for staff, they take safety measures at concerts so no one gets hurt. People tend to overlook how Armys operate, Bts utilize social media and so did we, Twitter, Vlive, RU-vid, Soundcloud, etc...we utilize all the social media sites the guys use, we stream and buy music to help chart since radio dont care much for them and radio spins are a huge part of charting. Armys know and understand how we can work around the industry despite the lack of radio spins.
It's laughable to hear Blackpink say that they've paved the way for K-pop, when at this point, they aren't even considered idols. Even some Blinks are starting to notice that each of the BP girls is getting ready to go on their own. The passion and drive for performing that they had at the beginning was pretty much lost after the release of ,,Kill This Love". Big3 companies ruin their groups, by desperately trying to reach the levels that Bts has reached, but to no avail. Even SuperM, which was considered to be the ,,super group" didn't have the desired impact, and there was a lot of controversy involved, which is another topic altogether. Bts, and Bighit Music have been doing things differently from the start. Bang Sihyuk made his company a safe space for the boys to really be able to produce music and immerse themselves in it. The 3 primary members, or the rap line, further shared their passion and knowledge with the other members, and they all eventually came together as an inseparable unit. This is also one of the reasons why I admire Stray Kids so much, because they have control over what they put out, and they choose quality over anything else.
PSY is HUGE in Korea. He is artist with couple decades under his belt, even before Gangnam style. He is loved in Korea. He is actually very lovely person as it seems from his interactions with BTS. They love him. He has his own label PNation he signed several artists, recently he signed Hwasa. He released album ladt year and title track called That That actually produced by Suga))) it was big hit! You should check MV)) his album in general i personally really liked! He also held his Psy annual festivals in Korea that attract huuuge crowds and are famous for their water element)
Pave the way literally means to create opportunities, to remove difficulties.... they were the first to do many things that actually accelerated the growth while opening the doors...so i don't understand the contest between fans...each has their own charm and achievements but by acknowledging the facts doesn't belittle anyone....people just need to be open minded, analytical and not prejudiced.....life is full of uncertainties just be truthful.....
Actually it's divided....when one acknowledges the uncertainties of life and the only reality is the end rest is only journey it becomes simple but then greed comes in the way and makes it difficult.....never ending irony of life😅
BTS paved the way and no one can deny it, but as long as the big companies (Korean and American) continue without making profits from them...they will continue to put obstacles in their way and mention any group that has a 5-minute hit as "the next BTS." In the meantime, BTS and Hibe/Big Hit renewed their contract until beyond 2025 and the company, as a thank to BTS and ARMY, donated 1 billion won to Unicef Korea...
I think you guys missed the point of the video. This is how it goes. The 1st generation of kpop paved the way for kpop in Korea. This was hallmarked by Seo Taiji, the founder and father of kpop. The 2nd generation paved the way for kpop in Japan, China and SOuth East Asia. This was hallmarked by BoA and groups like snsd, bigbang, wonder girls etc. The 3rd generation paved the way for kpop to reach the global market and this work was heavily done by BTS. This is what means for BTS to paved the way and this is not based on subjective opinions. There is actual evidence and data compiled by the Korean Music Association that objectively outlines BTS contribution to Korean Music. That is why except for kpop stans who do not wish to give BTS flowers, the music industry as a whole do acknowledge BTS efforts in kpop global expansion.
Psy actually has his own record label. He put out his first album in 10 years last year. Suga produced and rapped on the song That That. You should react to it.
I saw that so thought it unusual that you wondered where he was now given he recently released it with Suga. He is still very active and popular in SK.

Funny how in the clip of Black pink they were talking about writing when in their whole career the 4 of them have MAYBE donde 5 or 6 songs lmao. And BP mentioning in their last song that they paved the way when most of their achievements were after BTS´ and when their achievements have the first GIRL GROUPclarification before it while bts has The first Kpop group, group in general or asian act before any title or achievement.... Black pink has always been second place in almost everything and yet they wanna act as if they were the ones who paved the way is funny, THE AUDACITY and disrespect is crazy 🫢 But BTS did not have to give themselves the tittle, the industry and other idols gave it to them while BP gave it to themselves bc no one else did it and bc they wanna force it but the fake it until you make it won't work here girls 🤠
@@TripTipsPodcastikr i was so happy when i heard it even tho i know that they are never gonna disband because now they are more like family than just a boyband.
Boracity wasn’t erasing the 1st and 2nd generations achievements. She said they started the journey, but they weren’t able to make it easier for other artists to walk the same path. They actually scared other artists from attempting that global path again My take on why groups like BP may not want to stay as a group even though this was the group that helped them gain popularity is because this isn’t their passion. Music isn’t their passion. If I may use a sports analogy: you have players that really love the sport and will sacrifice everything in their lives to win like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Then you have the players that is there to gain popularity, then focus on getting brand deals and creating their own products or brands but their heart is no longer in the sport. I feel that way about BTS and groups like BP. BTS truly love music, each other, and their fans, which is why they’ve devoted their lives to their craft and stuck together through all the hardships. Other groups that don’t have the same passion would have disbanded long time ago. But BTS is still going strong and just resigned another contract together. Also, many other groups start off as a group but their end goal is to go solo. Whereas even BTS is doing solo work now, but in ALL their solo interviews, they have said that all this solo work is so that they can be even better as a group when they reunite after their military service. So the end goal is still staying together, not moving on and doing their own things. This is what sets them apart from others. Also, Boracity made a good point that other groups and labels want their groups to be #1 and super popular right out of the gates (debut), so they put all their resources in making sure they have a hyped up debut and possibly buying awards, streams, followers, screen time, media, etc. BTS didn’t debut as super stars. They started from the bottom and worked their way up. So their musical identity, artistry, experience, evolution is much more apparent then other groups. Another way BTS has paved the way that wasn’t mentioned in this video is that BTS actually works with lesser known Korean artists to help them get popularity. They also share songs from other artists their listening too. I don’t see too many other groups do that. You will hear from Army that BTS introduced them to so and so artist all the time. For example, I got introduced to The Rose through BTS, and now they’re the second Korean artist that I listen to after BTS. But other groups would never do this. BP was created by YG as a successor of 2NE1, and YG’s CEO even said his plans for BP was to be a prettier version of 2NE1. But there are rumours that BP can’t even mention 2NE1 in anything even though they’re from the same label. That’s crazy if it’s true. The Big3 labels made things really hard for BTS and Hybe in the beginning. They laughed and ridiculed them, blocked them from broadcasts and shows. Even in earlier events you can see camera man’s will put down their cameras when BTS walked the red carpet. There’s no way with their big egos that they will give them any praise now. It’s like your highschool bully that terrorized your school years now coming back and say they appreciate you. Might happen on a smaller scale, but not when you’re supposed to be the top 3 labels. What message will that send out? Then future potential artists would run off signing with Hybe and not these “big” labels anymore. They would lose their reputation
There is an account called Asian Entertainment and Culture by an older Asian women (I have no idea what country she descends from, sorry). She has made also a paved the way (2?) years ago I believe. One point was that the Beatles have admiration for Elvis Presley and Aunt Mimi (? a relative from a member) but that does not mean that their success can be credited to them. And that is true, too. bby gang mag's vid to the topic is also interesting because he argues differently to the same result. I see all three video essays as a puzzle that can explain why "BTS paved the way is" true. I argued one with a fan of another Idol artist about that. They spoke about the artists successfull tour. From a fan point of view he was right. From an artist/label point of view he wasn't: - no one voluntarily/unpaid inviting them for shows/interviews - no reports about their concerts - no new fans/same amount they would have gotten in an Asian countries like Japan - market loss to other labels/artists because the SK market is a fast paced one and without social media the group kinda lost contact with it's fanbase for months - no new charting for newer songs in Western markets From a label's point of view it was a failure and didn't help longterm as hoped.
👏👏👏👏 I agree so much with the points made, especially about the guys genuine & sincere love of music & the fans .. and, ngl, I have a good 🤭 at the labels, executives & music industry as a whole tryna figure them out, thinking it's one thing & copying it, just to not get the same results lol Also, I'll add on that the other labels are STILL continuing their same tactics of downplaying BTS' success (as pointed out in other videos) while tryna build up their own (false) contributions 😒
In 2017 the American public became aware of BTS when they beat Justin Bieber for the Top Social Artist award in the Billboard awards. This was a fan voted award, and I think there was a 10-14 (I'm not sure exactly) voting period. This was the first time BTS was nominated at Billboard. Army was ready and we voted hard. Justin Bieber (who had won this award for 6 yrs straight) got 32M+- votes for 2nd place and BTS won with 300M+ votes. Billboard was astounded, everyone except Army was astounded.
I think what has to be acknowledge is that BTS is a special case for sticking together. Most groups break up after their 7 year contract with their company it's kind of know as a "7 year curse". Because while BTS members have always stated that they are super close and brothers not every group feels that way about their members.
It is actually more the fault of the toxic and delusional fandom than the idol grps (except some of them). Cuz their idols themselves respect and accept that BTS made it possible for them to enter global market and yet fandom are the one fighting and making noise that their grp did it! It is weird! I have and will always love and respect BTS cuz there is no other grp like them and there never will be. They are the legends and just like how there is no 2nd Beatle or MJ, there is no 2nd BTS!
FR Bts paved the way, and it's not Armys discreting previous acts. Sure Kpop had been steadily becoming more popular, especially in East Asia, but BTS's success brought the industry to a whole new spotlight/place in the music industry world wide more than ever before! Bts was the first group I followed and "stanned". My first "kpop" song I heard was Gangnam Style but I didn't know Psy was even Korean. A few years later I listened to a BlackPink song and thought it was cool but didn't know it would be considered "kpop". A few months later I decided to get into the industry so I first listened to multiple bts songs and quickly became a fan. Bts' success, story and records are one in a million therefor won't be reached by any other kpop group in a super long time. Super Stars⭐💜
I think it's because of their ego and sense of superiority. they used to be the rulers, they were at the top of the kpop industry for years, theyre the one who got all the spotlight and praise. now a "nobody" comes and beats them its hurting their pride. they were ignoring BTS in the beginning, theyre being quiet because they know they cant credit themselves into BTS success. it would be a different story if they helped BTS when BTS was still a "nobody", they'll be so loud about BTS success while mentioning their part in the success

PSY is still working, he is VERY famous and he now has his own Entertainment company. That that, is a PSY and Suga song which came out last year; Suga produced and co wrote and appeared with his rap parts in the video. He’s 46 and still has concerts. there is a behind the scenes of THAT THAT. When BTS won top social artists, Justin Bieber had won that award for 6 years and the boys won it for years.
What is interesting at 25:30 is that is Jackson Wang speaking who is one of RM's best friends (there are some really funny videos of their sweet friendship...Jackson is really soo fond of RM.) And then that is Straykids leader Bang Chan who is a member of the 97's a friendship group of Kpop idols born in 97 one of which is Jungkook! And yet he is often starstruck by BTS and speaks so highly of them!!
I'll be very honest I haven't seen any interaction between them since 2017 but have seen Jackson mention them during his 2019 interview on Zach Sang show. But I get they are all very busy and he isn't afraid to speak about them. Boracity was right when she said the past kpop friendly interactions on camera stopped after they became globally success, right after they won their first BBMA award for Top Social Artist (by the way BBMA eliminated the award because BTS kept winning & Billboard didn't want them to match or beat Justin Beiber's record. BTS had won 5 consecutively after Beiber's 6 wins before they eliminated the award) we stopped seeing much interaction with BTS and any idol from the Big 3 (especially SM & YG). They didn't want their artist to mention them or interact with them, ego & pride is a huge problem with these companies it overrides logic a lot of the time. But they will sure pay for and plaster BTS all over articles about their groups to name them in the same realm or just to get clicks. It's sad but most people will never know or understand the complex nuisance of what BTS went through and still goes through today. They think they are widely beloved in Korea and were huge there before they got big in the US. Most of the general korean public were shocked when bts won a BBMA award in 2017 because very little is published on news articles or news programs about them it's all mainly the Big 3 stuff that's pushed. And while I think now majority of general korean public respect them they were mostly kept in the dark about them because whether we like it or not the mediaplay works, labels can make other groups appear more successful then they are. It was hard not to hear about them after Dynamite tho and I saw a new wave of Korean reactors to BTS and some knew it blew up on youtube but didn't even know about all their previous awards in the States, one Korean reactor was watching a guide to BTS and was floored because he didn't know majority of the US awards they had won even before 2020 because they were downplayed a lot. And I'm glad Boracity pointed out the power and influence the Big 3 still have they dominate Korean television and Media because they own a lot of it. People think just because Hybe has money they have entered the elite now but they don't have the power over the media and they've not been around as long as these other companies that have had a long built up reputation in Korea. Think of it like "new money" and "old money" a prominent disparity like in the early 20th century, those aristocrats that inherited their money with titles or a famous name that turned their noses up at "new money" people that came from nothing and became super successful in business, the old money still had a lot of power and influence in fact most "new money" had to buy into be in their elite club in some way to be accepted (like marriages etc). Well that except in this situation the new money didn't pander or buy into anything to be accepted by the elite cuz they'd rather get rid of the whole corrupt system.
Psy now owns his own recrding/management company. And That That, the clip they showed featuring (and produced by) Suga did really well, it just came out last year. Psy himself has said that while he had some success, BTS PAVED the way.
I feel so proud of you guys seeing your reactions now. I’m glad I stuck with you because this is the reason we like introducing BTS to skeptics, I don’t know if that is the right word but I do know that when you started you did not expect to become supporters of BTS and there is no doubt that you are :)❤
Psy has his own label company. He has many idols under his name. Even so, he's actually still holding concerts. You can see a very recent concert he did with Suga as a surprise guest
PSY is still popular in Korea and has his own production label. In 2022 he collaborated with Suga, who produced the song and also featured on it. Its called That That and is well worth a listen 😊
You guys are right. For example, Justin Timberlake and other solo acts that LEFT their groups, solely because they think they can make it on their own. Justin collaborated with other artists to make it big, but only for a short time.
@DANDJREACT And the other members that are great in a group was forced to do their solo and it was just unsuccessful. Harry Styles the one I can think of, but only big in UK, for the most part. Bang PD had a vision when he created BTS as a group, unprecedented in K-pop, to allow BTS artistic freedom, they have a big say on how their creative process from choreography to their album covers. They have a choreography director Son. But the practice and performance perfection comes from Jimin and J-Hope. And if you notice, since their solo projects, they introduce themselves not as BTS but "of BTS". They are not disbanded. They are still a boy group that are doing solo projects. Hope this helps.
by the way it was just announced today that bts have renewed their contract again before it even ended. last time they renewed it in 2018, so 2025 would have been the year bts have to sign (or disband lmao) but seems they decided to renew it now instead
Another great reaction. It is always nice to hang out with you guys for a few minutes and hear your genuine reactions. I love how close your relationship is too!!! Thanks again.
@DANDJREACT you will always cherish your relationship. My mom was my best friend but I lost her to cancer when I was 20. You will never regret spending so much time with your dad. He is a great dad and you can just tell how proud he is of you and your talents and accomplishments. Your mutual respect for one another really shines. ❤ thanks for sharing your journey with us.
BTS themselves don't even react on people saying that they paved the way until that one time in RM's live. He said that it was funny, but it's true, why not? Still they didn't fully claimed it. That's how humble they are, thats supposed to be a real idol is HUMBLE. I love BP, but them claiming that they paved the way is such a turn off. BTS have achieved so much than them, but what we can always hear from them is just a simple & genuine "Thank you, without you we wouldn't be here. Thanks for making all these possible." I mean that's the right thing to handle the fame, always give credits for the others. They know how to look back.
There's a saying within Armys that... 'BTS karma is real' ... All these kpop groups who act like 🍑 always end up facing it. Taking credit for what BTS has done.. Such shameless people
There's a really interesting (short) video that details a little more about the Big 3 vs BigHit/HYBE and the power imbalance (Recommend "Why BTS is treated UNFAIR in KOREA?" from the channel Korea Crush). The concept is similar to an indie/cottage record label vs Columbia Records - no way is your artist gonna get the big promo circuit on the big shows (late night, SNL, etc) or published in Rollingstone or Billboard magazine no matter how viral their song(s) are because their labels don't have the influence the big labels have. Same thing going on in Korea BUT with some cultural distinctions, in Asia, you must defer to authority (older/more powerful/richer) *always* as a matter of course. Any "David and Goliath" scenario is actually frowned upon or diminished to avoid shaking up the status quo.
Love the reaction hope those groups and labels as well as their fans that cant accept the achievements of bts and discrediting their achievements can humble themselves😊😂 cause this argument is so obvious that bts are the reason why kpop is mainstream today and i believe that only jealous and delusional people would disagree. BTS PAVED THE WAY period dont get me wrong i know that many kpop group are popular now but it doesn't mean that they are known now international they can be part of the conversation of paving the way with bts. Hope everyone can be happy to the achievements of others and be as one💜💜💜
Hey guys ! I love your genuine reactions , response and questions💜 When she said about paving the way it meant globally bts opened the doors in global market for future of kpop ! First generation invented kpop (only in korea) and second continued what first did( only in korea , sometimes japan) They were only known as in korea Thts not paving a way in the global sense since they didn’t make it easier They helped bts become a group as they followed the training system which kpop industry follows ! Again thts not paving a way Bts paved the way for other kpop acts to have a platform in global music market other than korea or japan ! For invention of kpop you can say first generation did so n so Bts well never actually followed kpop industry tho They came from a nobody company(not a big 3 who owns and rules the industry) , they wrote their own songs and produced their own music ( no kpop idols before them did tht) , they shared content on youtube and twitter (other groups didn’t use it ) bts had only youtube cuz they had no other way of promoting themselves or interact cuz big 3 owned all platforms and you need money n power they didn’t have it even if after years of debut they got invited they were mostly looked down on cuz of no influence their company had ! So they changed the rules in a way showed new direction to kpop industry that a nobodies from nobody company can be global just based on their talent n hardwork ! Most kpop idols are manufactured thts why they do not last long… no real talent, don’t write own shit, use number of copied samples, do exact same type of songs and verses, just there to look good and only why there company choose them is cuz they have a job to look good but bts was different and now kpop industry takes seriously youtube content to performances on award shows ! About blackpink 😂 you were right ! Today is a good day cuz bts renewed their contract beyond 2025 meaning till 2032 💜 not just that they donated 1 billion won to unicef in the name of ARMY💜😭 and now army is buying out their old albums from debut to show their love 💕 Blackpink fandom(blinks) and army’s don’t go well with each other its just what it is ! If you land on army’s twitter you would know 😂 Namjoon ( leader of bts) has finally spoken and in live when one fan said bts paved the way 😊 he laughed n said “its true” why not ? You can say tht ! Sureeee💜🤌🏻 Our leader agrees 💜 cuz some others be tryna take the credit for all the hardwork these boys did ✨
@@TripTipsPodcast they are 💜 still love wht u r doing i am a picky person when it comes to bts reaction channels but i love your sincerity in trying to learn about the boys!
The issue of other kpop groups not wanting to collaborate with BTS (if they ever could) has many reasons, among others: 1. They don't want to acknowledge that BTS is bigger and more popular; 2. Their companies don't want to give BTS any more visibility and promotion; 3. Everyone is busy with their own schedules
When you ask, where is Psy… He is very successful at the moment. He’s released some fantastic music. And he collaborated with Suga with the song That That. He has had some incredible concerts lately in Korea. Look at his college festival performance in 2022 that was insane. Students at the Sungkyunkwan university literally went crazy. Even BTS was talking about the insanity. Suga also turned up to perform at a Psy concert.
As non-korean i knew much about korea from BTS i started to be curious about the language too and learned because of them and to understand them i even gave the other groups chance to be a fan but i discovered that BTS is way more better and the whole kpop didn't impressed me like them i even knew the other kpop names because i see them with bts in news,Twitter..etc we are as a global ARMY a real and live prove that they truly "paved the way " for all kpop and the once who doesn't admit it just a toxic groups and fans :)
I have seen BTS reacting with the group SEVENTEEN (who are a wonderful group) this year on various program's, dancing together and talking with Suga on his program. Thanks for your reactions they are very interesting. Please comment more on there dancing xxx
8:09 Psy is doing fine, great even. He's still an extremely successful musical artist, and in 2022 he did a collab with Suga called That That. He founded his own record label in 2018 called P Nation, and has had some pretty good and well known artists under his label.
@@TripTipsPodcast it is. Fun fact Suga was only to produce the song but Psy wanted him in as rapper so convinced him to be part of the song and video. 💜💜
Psy is the CEO of PNation a kpop Company which manages artists like Jessi, Hwasa and others. Before creating his own company, he was an artist under YG Entertainment until 2018. His real name is Park Jae sang and his stage name Psy is derived from the first three words of psycho i.e. his first concert in 1996 due to his strange and bizarre musical style. There is a phrase in korean called Hallyu Wave which means global popularity of South Korean culture in other countries and it is said that the word was popularized by artists such as Big bang, Super Junior, BoA, TVXQ and many other artits who were popular in China and Japan. When it comes to japan music, Anime sound tracks and Rock Band is always mentioned the most. Kpop artists have also been successful in Japan such as TVXQ where they are as famous as in korea. I am so happy that this video mentioned all the kpop group names that i wanted to mentioned in the coments. Like Seo Taiji, Shinhwa which was one of my all time favourite group whose songs are remenbered forever. You should react to these legendary groups so thwt you understand why kpop is so popular and thanks to these first generation groups namesly H.O.T, Shinhwa, SechKies, G.O.D(their all songs are remebered and loves by fans from every generation and of every age. Today BTS through their dedication and sincerity are gaining fans support day by day and are glocally recognized and even if they are popular, they always stay humble ans true to themselves ans always reflect their thoughts through their music which steals the heart of every individual ans this is why BTS is special to every kpop groups idols today a tge uncoming kpop as well as other artists who are not in any groups.
PSY is still popular in Korea, he owns his own label P Nation, and has artists on it. He released a song That That with Suga that PSY and Suga wrote and produced in 2022. It was on PSY 9th album and did well. You can see it on RU-vid
Yes BTS paved the way even PSY said that!!! PSY has a song That that , which Suga from BTS produce it. BP are so wrong I was watching some of their performance they can't even do the sync lip right smh They have a toxic fandom ( not all of them ) always putting BTS down.
Not only did PSY make a lit of money, he’s from a very affluent family. He has investments including his own production company and he’s still putting out popular songs, including That, That with Suga. They might not have taken the world by storm like Gangam Style, but quite popular, especially in Asia.
THe big # CEOs are some of the egotistical people you will ever find in Korea. Them being jealous of BTS succcess is really not a hard pill to swallow. There is this group called nct under the big 3 that were once talking about BTS on live, and they called BTS "that group" which is very disrespectful in Korean culture especially when that is a senior group. So Koreans dragged them a lot. But this and a lot of others go to show how the big 3 is really seething over their success
One thing to keep in mind & be aware of, when it comes to BTS paving the way to the United States, is that K-Pop itself is & was never Korean at all. It is actually a western & US concept. So to see BTS coming to the US to do concerts & winning western awards, & also starting to make full-English songs like Dynamite & Butter, is actually BTS bringing K-Pop come back full circle to the origin of K-Pop, which is the United States. Once again, to reiterate, the K-Pop idol industry is not South Korean, or Korean for that matter. K-Pop's origin is mainly natively from the US, by way of Japanese J-Pop & by way of Seo Taiji & also by way of Korea's adoption of western music way back in the 19th century, over 150 years ago.
Competitor kpop agency who doesn't help in early stages.but if they mingle with BTS after success, thats what calling selfishness, no self respect. I appreciate keeping their distance
