Depression is not something that goes away completely, Yoongi himself has said that he still has it but he has learned to live with it, being able to live moments of happiness

Yoongi did suffered from depression but with members he used to laugh and smile alot before too, antis often use him not smiling all the time as a rude behaviour but he was a goofball in run bts episodes but a calm composed person during interviews (he's still pretty much same💜)

While I agree that Yoongi has always been fun and goofy with the boys, there is definitely a difference between before and after 2020. There was a pretty significant change in his attitude in interviews, lives, RUN episodes, etc. after he got his shoulder surgery. Like the video said, he was very proud to talk about the fact that he stopped biting his nails during the pandemic (which is also when he finally got surgery). He also used to obsessively diet, he would gain and lose weight at ridiculous rates just between two close event. He still has the habit of speaking about dieting, but his weight doesn't seem to dramatically go up and down anymore. He also became much more outspoken about specifics of his mental well-being in interviews and his music.

@@ipurpleu1668 yoongi never obsessively dieted tho. He fluctuates in weight when they're having cbs or tours/performances back to back and their schedule is full. That's simply inevitable as they are on the road and aren't home so travel, timezones etc. Yoongi has always been on the thinner/slender side as well it's not like man's just suddenly lost 20 kgs out of nowhere 😭😭 And just because Yoongi and the tannies watch their weight that doesn't automatically makes it a bad thing. They are first and foremost artists ofc but they're also performers. That's a huge part of who they are. They live for the stage. Having endurance, stamina built up helps them get through their very complex and hard concerts.

@@user-vv7hc7kb5o he did obsessively diet. Watch literally any BTS show or live and Yoongi talks about food and what diet he is on. On lives after concerts, on Bon Voyages, on any Burn the Stage, etc. show. He always talked about food and dieting. Dieting in general is not healthy. Making lifestyle changes relating to food can be fine, but making changes for a short period of time just to lose weight doesn’t help in the long run. And that’s what Yoongi would do, he always had a “new diet” he was on. Yoongi would consistently talk about doing diets where you don’t eat for 12+ hours then binge, or refuse to have something like donuts that the whole group was eating on vacation because he didn’t want to gain weight (even though he has always been the skinniest in the group), he would call himself heavy even when he obviously was not, he would consistently talk about his weight and wanting to lose some. Who knows how it is in his private life, but on screen, he talked obsessively about food and weight management. I mean there are times when even the other members would tell him to stop or awkwardly laugh when he would mention whatever new diet he was on.

Trust me all the members helped me through my depression i beat it as well as they did their my therapy and my saviors also. Im blessed i have these guys and army in my life. Im also blessed all 7 members are doing alright and just healthier as well.

Highly recommend you guys check out Suchwita, I learnt & respect Yoongi so much more after each episode. though Yoongi is not my bias but i love him (& all other members!). He's not as expressive as other members but he shows his love by cooking for the members, not shy from praising them, giving the group courage to aim for higher & numerous times saying he wanna stay with them & grow old with them. His passion on music, the raw messages in his lyrics - undeniable. He can kill haters with his songs, make us reflect & cry, but also give everyone so much hope. He's also so loyal, not just to BTS but to his culture where he can speak English but he sticks to Korean even in English shows, he love Bang PD but when some members said he's like their father Yoongi said "No, my father is my father" XD how can you not love him!!!

Just so you know after Yoongi's accident where he hurt his shoulder he was scared to tell the label for fear of being let go but he sooner rather than later told them what happened. The staff or whoever it was at the company said that he should have told them earlier, that they will wait for him to get better (btw Yoongi used to b-boy prior to the incident and was quite good too). Also simultaneously back then Yoongi had his education as one of his top priorities as well, so he was very worried about that since him and his family didn't have enough money to pay for it and company said they will cover that for him. He was very relied since it took a lot of the pressure he was feeling. The rest of the members found out the truth about his shoulder years later in 2017. Its in the Burn the stage documentary on youtube from their Wings tour. After a show 6 of them (JK was resting in his room) were eating dinner, talking and reminiscing. It came up. Yoongi told them that back then he said that he fell down the stairs and thats how he injured himself but he actually lied. Saying he was in a car accident during his delivery and that when he opened his eyes the wheel was in front of his face. The guys were disturbed hearing that ofc. Then the members respond "so thats why you had those lyrics in of the songs in your mixtape". Im paraphrasing but thats how the convo went in general.

id think it was nessesary to reveal his reasons behind it because we know from amygdala it was more than one thing. he also have OCD and is very selfdissiplined so that could also make him struggle. could also be other things more personal that he is not willing to share with army. btw i don´t like her voice it was a little cringe but the information was right
