Two women who were formerly employed with a Georgia school district face allegations of sexual misconduct with male students. Brooklyn Shuler and Railey Greeson, who referred to each other as “ride or die” besties, were charged with sexual contact by an employee or agent. The duo, who are both married, were part of each other’s bridal parties in recent years. Greeson was Shuler’s maid of honor at her wedding a few months after an alleged relationship with a student began. Law&Crime’s Elizabeth Millner breaks down the details.

Phones and social media are what is facilitating more of this happening now. I know teenagers who all befriended their 23 year old art teacher and found all hia social media and added him within the first week of school. The line between authority figures and students has been blurred because these young teachers are naive and immature themselves and they don't establish boundaries with students.

They're both very pretty girls, one of which is married to her football playing high school sweetheart. I think your assessment missed the mark. I think maybe they're just reliving the fun of high-school, maybe adult life is boring, they aren't ready to be settled down with a career and a husband in their very early 20's (that's too early for anyone to settle down), but they're not living in a big city. They live in a tiny, boring rural town with nothing to do and their husband's probably know everyone and everything they're doing so they found some excitement in a very inappropriate place with boys they were interacting with and flirting with during the day while they were at work. I'm sure it was exacerbated by the fact that the girls worked together, feeding off of each other's shared sense of excitement and secrecy.

To all those complaining about the youth of teachers nowadays - Young teachers are EXACTLY what you will get when terrible students, parents, and districts continue to run off those older, more experienced teachers...ijs.
