It was magic. Row two. Beautiful weather....full moon over the ARCH. I am forever grateful to have been there with my love.

The first 3.5 minutes of this video are the best DMB footage ever compiled. I’ve been to 50+ shows, not including this one. And this opener with this anticipation with this crowd and the way it was captured is easily one of the most iconic dmb live moments ever. In the bands history the only thing that could come close is the lilywhite sessions but it’s a distant second to this. It’s timeless, it’s epic, it’s perfect. If anyone who reads this has ever been to a single dave concert they’d agree. It’s, quintessential Dave, but not at the same time. This song to open, this venue, this moment in their run. All the words I just spewed are worthless... it can’t be put into words other than PERFECTION. Thank you chester, you’re more than just an uploader, you’re a memory maker. You are cherished. This show was amazing.....especially from row 2!!!! This intro made the hairs on my neck stand straight out...goosebumps and WOW! Just amazing. Never forget it. It was my final show with Roi. RIP which makes his picallo even more haunting. Stage Left Forever, Roi!

I think the intro is in reference to dave's father's death. I read somewhere that he died in early June of 1977.
