Il bellissimo evento Two Stroke is Back all'autodromo di Varano de Melegari (PR) del 02/06/2015. Moto da corsa ( Rigorosamente 2 TEMPI ) da 50cc 125cc 250cc e 500cc che sfrecciavano sul circuito!!
I grew up in the 70's. Two Strokes were everywhere, we laughed at 4 strokes, 4 strokes are plenty fast, but 2 stokes have that throttle power that snaps on, instantly. It's something to be respected ..
Yup, way cool. Music indeed. I competed several times in the 250 for 50 at Willow Springs. Nothing like the sound of 40 250's lighting it up! And yes, I believe Honda is responsible for the demise of the 2T. However, I hope to never stop riding my TZ 250's. Keeping both the '99's lit for now. Keep 'em lit boys!
Ahhh.. the mental years of 2T bikes. Can't say that i miss it that much, used to ride 'em so hard that half the time is spent fixing them, lol. I do miss the crazy power though.
The Bernina pass with my rgv250 was one of the best days I've lived. I drove it twice in the same days. I know about the swiss police. But it worth the risk
are these the same bikes that will launch you over the handle bars if you make one slight twist of the throttle? these bikes are so powerful and Rev so fast you gotta be on point at all times or your back tire will break traction. the powerband rises almost instantly.
Noisy and they spew a ton of smoke they must have been a blast to ride for people to love them so much. I'm still looking forward to electric motorcycles taking over they have demonstrated they have massive potential we just have to get better with battery technology.
It's curious,I'm old enough to remember how when the two strokes took over in the 500s everybody said it wasn't the same and that the sound was terrible.I remember the Honda 500 four stroke at the British GPabout 1980 being so far off the pace. Then they got rid of them, all the electronics came in and suddenly everyone loves the two strokes of yesteryear
agreed.we ran a kawasaki two stroke team at bathurst in the 60s and had various problems with seizing .we bought a guy out from kawasaki japan who sorted the problem. i know the tdic yamahas without posilube also had some seizing problems.
I have been riding a 2 stroke bike for the last 13 years. It's a 100cc Suzuki :) But it gives out a lot of smoke. sometimes it gets embarrassing for me :( . The feeling is not at all good when you know that you are the only one causing a nuisance on the street.
Max Rainbird A well designed twostroke could produce almost double the power of a fourstroke with the same displacement. A modern high end two stroke racebike would beat the h2r, there's nothing magical about it. And there will be a faster bike sooner or later.
