That's pretty cool. I like that these episodes are not six months ago. It's feel more realistic when we're in the same timelines watching this. Look forward to seeing what's the outcome next week ..good work both teams ..Phip and flip I think will win it.
The yellow one so reminds me of my first car. It was a 78 pinto with glass hatch. Had 2800 V6. Blew it up and began my first engine removal and installation of new. Well newer. A 66 K code 289 hi-po. With a C4. Needless to say, the lil rear-end it had. Not sure what it was. But it was the next thing to go. And with a quickness. About 2½ miles in the test drive with 289. Put a narrowed 9" with Detroit locker. Damn do I miss that car. Lots and lots of fun for a teenager still in high school. The good ole' days.. 1986
I would absolutely love the steering wheel from the blue car to hang in my shed! Always wanted one but never were available in Aus! please let me know if you'd sell it to me (signed of course!) and i'll do what i can.
I had a 77 pinto ,white with a blue stripe.I put a 302 in it with a crane cam,10/10 crank ,30 over size pistons.with 351 Windsor heads with a Borg warmer 4 speed. That thing was crazy. And it had corvette side pipes too.
@@imkrane they both had a crappy attitude about the car and tried to make it a crappy build.... even Kenny said how they forgot Richard is running a business and they need to still sell the car.... they need to cut that discovery channel drama and get to building the car how they are supposed to in a car shop
Where's Chase? If you're out there buddy please let us (all your fans) know how you're doing. You should start your own channel. We would all definitely watch.👍🏻🇺🇸
Why did chase leave? The reason I watched the original show was because of Aaron, now i get into this era and the gjuy I enjoy watching leaves again? SAAAAAAADDDDDD!!!!
@@mikemarkel9203 I agree. I watched the original for Aaron and now for Chase. So disappointing, but I'm sure he did what's best for him. He'll turn up.👍🏻🇺🇸
@@applianceman6194 Money does not make a man and it usually turns men into classless douches. As seen on Gas Monkey Garage. Aaron was the closest thing to a man so far at GMG and he left years ago.....speaks volumes eh ?
meh it comes from both sides, us mechanics etc can be a difficult bunch. I think the high end builds, the TV and the high profile of the shop adds a lot of extra stresses to everyone tbh. I like Dennis and i use him as a gauge... he has been long friends with him, that counts for a lot
@Gone to the-Dogs money doesn't mean anything as long as a person's family is taken care of and they live comfortably that's all that matters why do people govern money on life he can die tomorrow and alllllll that money can't do a thing for him but put him in the same plot you and the rest of us are gonna end up in 1 day
Chase had to leave. He couldn’t stand how Richard makes the guys call him the Midnight Rider and forces Phipps to wear a leash, a tutu and a leather zipper mask.
Viktor, I could Google it, but I thought it would be more fun to ask you to please define 'Goofball' because I have never really known? 🤔 I am guessing it's a bloke who doesn't take life too seriously so therefore doesn't mind making a ***k of himself? (Compliment) Best wishes from a French forest. 🇬🇧⚒️🇺🇲
Wicked as. Thanks Richard and the Gas Monkey Team for this awesome build off. Great old fashioned Gas Monkey Garage. Been watching since you first started all those years ago. LOVE IT. GET YOU SOME OF THAT.
We had a pinto when I was kid,me and my cousin use to get out and drive it on Sunday morning while everyone else went to church, before we had license lol we had fun but if they only known what we was doing lol love them old pintos
i used to love misfit garage aka fired up. which is why its awesome to see josh now working in gas monkey.. He worked hard therefor he deserves to be there.. nice work josh... love from london Englnd
Come on! 302? 390 sits real nice in a pinto! A friend of mine did one in the late 70s. It was a fun ride! Pull the wheels off the ground every time 😁😁😁😁😁
There were some pretty badass Pintos and Vegas, mostly SBC, back in the '70's. Both street and Track cars. I still hate a pinto of any flavor but vega's styling was much better. Good Vid.
Nice battle! Great idea for a change up to the format while the boss is away. Regular cars rather than unaffordables for us everyday gas lovers. Looking forward to the outcome. I hope Chase hasn't gone full time but hey ho if so good luck to him. As Richard did you can't let the tyre rubber dry under your feet! Keep on bringing it on to us here in the UK. Many thanks.
I had a 72 Pinto in Starkist orange. My cousin and drove it from far east Texas to the Grand Canyon between our junior and senior years in high school. We never shut the engine off even when refueling. As 17 year olds on a road trip we were more concerned with getting there and not worried about getting back 1 week before school started. I am proud to say we got there and back without 1 mechanical problem. 66 years old now and that trip is brought up at ever family gathering. It was epic!!
Chase and Victor quit, so Richard hires the fired up garage crew cuz no one else will work for him 🤣 remember when fast and loud used to be a thing and they used to build awesome custom cars with a real team of seasoned professionals? remember when he used to laugh at and mock these very people that are now part of "his crew"? 😂🤣 Fast and loud was worth watching, this new crap is just a sitcom 🤢🤮
That black dragster in the background was at 1973 Street Rod Nationals I saw it when I was only 8 years old while I was driving my dad's T-Bucket around and he was taking pictures
THE BEST VIDEO IN A WHILE!!! WE NEED MORE! Excited to see the rest of video best of luck too both teams, really jealous of you guys having the opportunity you guys have, I might have to make the move to Texas..
Billy shine used to do a show like this ngl I've always dug those episodes so I'll be a sub if we can have continued episodes keep them full length and get sponsors for giving the shops tools/car parts your crew vs other garages
Looks as if Chase got more popular than Richard and got smart and moved on. Something happened no doubt. Maybe Chase will start his own youtube channel. Chase is one smart guy!
