What is going on here? Clearly, to make a tapered thread ike this, you need a taper attachment. We are not shown anything like this, at least in the first 10 or 15 minutes. The compound is rotated but that will not make a taper thread. I'm guessing that there is a taper attachment used but we don't see it being setup which is perhaps the most important thing in this repair. That's rather unfortunate.
