"Rinse water for your enemy, first infusion for your wife, second infusion to enjoy." I have heard the newest trend is to save the rinse water until end of session and drink it then. Returning flavor is how I have heard it called. It is supposed to bring you back to the start of your session by reminding you of the initial flavors again. Your thoughts on that would be appreciated.

Thank you or this video! I've always used the second method, but I'm curious to try the first! With the second as well it's a good reminder to not brew too long during the second infusion, which is a mistake I tend to make fairly often.

I am glad to hear the video helped! I personally been going back and forth between the two methods myself. I am always trying to see what are the best methods to bring out the best flavor out of the tea.

Thank you for this video, love learning from you! How many times can you brew from the same leaves using the first method? And how many seconds?

It depends on the oolong tea. A good quality oolong can be resteep at least six times.

A good oolong tea, you can get at least 6 times. At least, that's my standard of choosing a good oolong.
