Thank YOU so much. Please keep your kind comments coming! If you haven't answered elsewhere already, can I ask how you're using iPad drawing in your personal or professional life?
Yes there is actually: I am not an architect nor great at sketching but I am a woodworker and I design and build furniture for commissions. Thus I make drawings of components and the sub-parts that make up a component. These need to be detailed with accurate dimensions shown. For example to build a cabinet which has 4 Side panels which each are made using 3/4” plywood then 1x3 black walnut on top of it as the finish. I need to show dados, rabbets, etc. it was painstaking to try to create a 1x3 accurately in LxWxTh especially when dragging the dimensions tool to clearly see 3/4” material. The fonts were too large and got cluttered easily ( I know I can change font size, but you see my point). Also I felt like I had to fight Morph for accuracy., meaning if I wanted a panel to be 18”L x 14”W I had to use the ruler to draw the rectangle, then butt it up to another line to show assembly but then when I remeasured for overall length for example the Dimms tool would kick back a different value. If I zoom in the lines don’t overlap that’s b/c I need to see two separate components or parts but this throws off my desired length. I guess I don’t know why morph doesn’t let you type in a value (like they do in scale tool) and have the line or component resize to my input. Sketchup does this very well. Also is there a way to create a component by grouping other objects into one object. Are there stencil libraries out there that I can import to ease my struggles? Apologies for the verboseness.
Love your videos and I am still need to watch more of them for both Procreate and Morpholio. I am a beginner to all this, iPad and iPad tools for architects. When it comes to Procreate, regarding the grid templates and rulers, do you have a tutorial on how to create the nice resources you use?? Or do you sell some of those resources? Just asking. Again, thank you for sharing those great lessons. In regards to Morpholio Trace: I cant find a wait to marge layers like Procreate. Grouping is another issue. Am I missing something?
Aw, man, sorry! I barely remember what I gave to everyone in that, but I have a draw-to-scale sample kit you might enjoy? Check out newest videos on my channel page. They all have links in the descriptions to free downloads, some of the even useful! Can you share with everyone how you're using iPad drawing in your personal or professional life?
Very informative and you explain very well. I had a question. Where can I get the grids and the scale to save on my IPad? How was it available on your cloud ?
Thank you for your kind comment and for asking about the scale drawing tools you can find them via the link to my store page in the description below the video.
What would be cool is if there was hdmi output so that you could incorporate and capture the screen for videos. I make a lot of Sketchup videos but would use this f it were easier to incorporate with my channel. Nice video!
I believe you can do screen capture right out of the iPad, and you can do video replay in Procreate, but people seem to prefer the instructional value of seeing the pencil making he lines--or at least I *think* they do?
@@iPadForArchitects Thanks for that I’m just fed up with subscriptions Procreate looks brilliant I’m looking to buy the iPad Pro I’ve watch a lot of your demonstrations. Imagination is for more important that education. That Albert fellow said something like that. Much appreciated Cheers
That would be my honor. In fact it's unfolding before our very eyes inside my new series re: real-world iPad workflows. Hope you can check it out. You'll recognize the thumbnail on the channel home page immediately ) Your comments are profoundly appreciated, Chitpaul! Keep up the good work!
