I like it... It's definitely a simple drill anyone can run even if you're limited to an indoor range that will keep your basic fundamentals sharp. Really good stuff and great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

You had our class do this drill. Starting it, especially after hours of other drills I thought it wouldn’t be so bad. You were 100% right. By the time we got to 20, shots coming after the 2 sec beep, pulling shots etc. As you walk it back in and see some holes in the white….. definitely a kick in the pants. Thank you sir👍

Anyone who has ever had to qualify, at the 25-yard line, will attest...that's just not an easy distance, to make great hits at. Working you in, out, and back in...will help seat fundamentals, that you wouldn't get, just drilling one (known) distance, over and over.

I love it lol 😆 he calls 20 yards no man's land this is commkng from an excellent experienced shooter . In my state the test to get a concealed carry permit it 25 yards 30 rounds in 30 minutes and you need to score i forget I think 260 or better .at the army L target. Wich yes is a large target but your average citizen whom just wants to protect himself thats a bit difficult! They can put a he mag in the 10 ring at 5,7,and even 10 yards . But 25 they start having trouble . Thats because its not pistol range and no self defense situation that I can think of can u justify firing at someone at 25 yards away. That's ain't self defense thats murder!! Lol 😆 anyway after my wild tirade is over 🤣. I do like the drill and will definitely employ it in my training
@ABCKorpi
@ABCKorpi 2 года назад
With the time constraint of 3 seconds for 2 shots, 20 yards is difficult. I am not an experienced pistol shooter by any means but I can pass the 30 shots in 30 minutes at 25 yards with iron sights easily. Put me under time stress and I guarantee you that my groups will look like shit.

That thumbs forward grip has never impressed me and I still don't use it. I continue to put my supporting hand index finger on the trigger-guard just like we all did back in the day. At this distance using my technique I have $20 that says those bullets would be through the same ragged hole. It's "function" and "practicality" vs looking cool for the crowd. A couple years ago I had this debate with a local SWAT firearm instructor while out on the range together. He was a couple years younger than I am and less experienced than I. After he saw what I was doing and how much more accurate I was he kept his "technique pointers" to himself. God and the firearm manufacturers put that serrated notch on the frame for a reason. To circumvent it is like using your left foot to press on the accelerator I told him.

I thought it was going to be run at overall time... like, keep moving two yards out and then back in... with the entire drill being timed.

Thanks for sharing this for those of us that can barely afford ammo to practice and our only option is to train by ourselves in our backyard when we can with knowlege shared between freedom loving Americans. I appreciate where you priorities are, as opposed to others that would rather dump water on a dozen of their guns in the winter then see which ones jammed....which is entertaining to to the ego stroking larper, but doesn't actually make anyone better. That saying "if I can only reach one person to make them better" doesn't seem to apply in much of the gun social media world. Its more of an ego stroking l, watch me, hoe myself out for views, brought to you by black rifle coffee mentality. Ask Brandon Herrera, at least he admits it.

WHY are you looking at YOUR Holster, to Holster? What you DO in Training, You will DO in the Field….
@richardsonprecisiontrainin8365
@richardsonprecisiontrainin8365 2 года назад
Taking a a minute to look the pistol back into the holster to make sure it’s clear of obstructions is something people should do more in my opinion, If you shot a drill or engaged at target and there are no more threats or targets to engage then why wouldn’t you glance down to holster? If you handled what you needed to handle why risk muzzling your body searching for the holster when you don’t need to? Just a take a quick peek make sure it’s got a clear path in and reholster
@jessegpresley
@jessegpresley 2 года назад
your holster may not be there after YOUR gunfight. you might catch a shirttail or jacket cord on your trigger on your no look reholster. if you have a threat to keep eyes on, don't put your gun away until the threat is gone,
@danielskipp1
@danielskipp1 2 года назад
What's tough about this drill? 3 seconds? LOL! That's enough time for 10 shots! 3 seconds is 2 more than you going to get in a real gunfight. Try 1 second for 2 shots. This drill is worthless.
