It's been two years since getting my initial batch of Bell & Howell Electronic Pest Repellers. How have they worked?

Plugged a few near my front and back doors and my Sister In-law still got inside my house... These pest repellents obviously do NOT work...

Amazon Drok sound generator My review. I got it and a pwm with a 12vdc battery. I have sat in my yard for years with nothing but insects everywhere. Tonight at 44,700 hz I have three fairly bright lamps running and not one bug other than a moth or a small fly here and there are flying around normally it is 50+ per light flying all over the place. This thing works pretty good for such a small and cheap sound generator I’m very impressed.

I had electronic device in Florida and we had roach problems all the time. People claim on RU-vid they didn't work. After I order one and plugged it in I noticed all the roaches would be found dead on the floor and we never had a roach problem again.

I have one of those in my apartment. Strangest thing happened after I installed it - my PS-2 mouse vanished!

The problem is that these devises do work if you by them in a reputable place. There are millions of copies out on the market, and they do only blink and use power. In the end, people don't trust any one of them!

I haven't seen a single video of someone opening up a "legitimate" product from a reputable place...all these people MUST be buying from disreputable retailers. Or maybe it's something else altogether?

I bought one for every room I seen one dead mouse since I installed them. It eat poison and died right in front of the device. The instructions says give it 3 weeks to work, I haven't seen or heard any mice since. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying 🙏 that my mice problem is solved. I have seen spiders and ants tho.

What was the brand? And how much of an area does each cover?

Just like people, some mice are born deaf...don't think this would work on the hearing challenged mice!!!

Thank you for your review. It so happens I also just ordered a 4 pack of Bell and Howell Pest Repellent from Amazon for a neighbor.. My first repellent unit was plugged into an outlet approximately 4 ft above the floor and kept the mice at bay for a couple of years. Then they returned. and I purchased 3 more. Since most of my outlets are blocked by furniture I also purchased 3 extension cords and plugged each unit into one. I watched one day as a mouse ran into the kitchen and tried to make its way to the garbage bin. But a repellent attached to an extension was on the floor nearby and all it could do was scurry about until it finally left. I do not know why I cannot keep the rodents away! I cannot locate more like my first repellent. However, I would like to know whether it makes a difference if they are plugged directly into a wall outlet or not.

The instructions say not to use an extension cord, but to directly plug it into the wall.
@pelsismichaelbridge
@pelsismichaelbridge 2 года назад
@@MrChrisvm the instructions are probably there to protect you from using an unsuitable extension cord. The science behind these devices really advocates using an extension as you can get down to the target's level and position it close to their point of entry and avoid having the ultra sound being absorbed or deflected by obstacles such as furniture.

Bell and Howell works because I have ringing in my ears and after 20 minutes I could hear a high squeal so had to remove them from outlets and send back to HSN. Took 15 to 20 minutes for the squeal to stop. Just saying. Fed the birds now have mice. Nice.

I have these about 6 months and just had one die. I still get moths and some creepy crawlers which was the point of buying them to keep them out. Now what do I do with the one that just died ??

all animals adapt hope he got his money's back with Home Shopping Network. I heard if you put a peppermint plant in your house it gets rid of mice PDQ. I don't know if it's bull. New York City they started making people who throw out mattresses wrap them in plastic to keep the spread of bed bugs at a minimum. Vermin is due to people traveling more cheaply and being slobs.
@blowndome
@blowndome 7 лет назад
John W Animals can adapt, insects of the other hand have a relatively small lifespan so it's unlikely of them to adapt to a sound like this all day. Unless he has that thing on for hundreds of years and by chance a mutant insect which is incapable of hearing this device mates with another mutant insect, then that's when these devices will be deemed useless.

You think they can handle bat problems?
@tomwiles
@tomwiles 7 лет назад
Claro Hufano At this point I have had a few mice. Either the mice adapted to the ultrasonic noise, or they ignore it completely. Bats could find the ultrasonic noise these things put out very annoying.

Late response system made by vector about 40 bucks...keeps bats an mice out of a 138 year old Attic. The cheap 5 dollar ones...work on ants all I can tell. This is on a farm I might add

Everything from Amazon is expensive and slow delivery. Never buy from Amazon. Let them close down. Lousy service.

Funny, like 99% of everything I buy from Amazon is relatively inexpensive and typically arrives in just a few days, less than a week.
