[TWQ] Elizabeth Woodville || See what I've become 

A very good queen, at least in fiction. Much better than natalie dormer's anne boleyn , who depicts a selfish social climber. And a very wicked stepmother. Sorry, but I'm very sad about the fact that everyone praises her. Maybe the real anne boleyn deserved respect and even admiration, but not in the way she was portrayed. I hate also the fact that the show shows her as a victim in love with the king, when she was only in love with his crown. She wasn't a victim, she even tried to convince the king to put to death mary doing him blowjobs. No wonder he opened his eyes about her, even if, at first he was truly in love with her. Instead, i find very interesting the way they rehabilitated the historical figure of mary i, whom I always felt was a very misunderstood person. I feel like she was the true rose of the tudors, and not her sister elizabeth, who was yes a great monarch, but also a fake person, who had a great capacity of promoting herself, in a way I see very similar to her grandfather's.

@@lisaprevidi9975 Historically there's no evidence that Anne ever plotted to marry Henry for power, yet alone that her family played any part in it. Sadly popular culture and even many historians tend to twist the facts to suit the narrative they want to tell.

@@isobelduncan thank you for not attacking me, like in fact some crazy fans would have done. I was referring just to her depiction in the tudors, although I find her quite overrated as role model. She was rather a tragic antiheroine, in my opinion, a ill-fated woman with interesting qualities.

I respect her she protected her own family and survived so many dangers. @@YORKSCROWN I am quite confused about how Woodvilles abusing realm's treasurey and corrupting the court workings by the means of favoritism is Elizabeth protecting her family. What was she protecting the "Woodvilles" from? Who was she protecting who from whom exactly that way? I don't want this to come of as agressive in any way, its just I don't get your justification of her family and her. Noone forced her to anything.

@@SG-pu3rx ,she was agressive to George and when she began to suspect him of treason.And he really made a secret deal to the King of France but he and Warwick killed her beloved father and brother(I still don't understand why Edward forgave George,he can saved Warwick's life because all North was with him) .Edward gave a lot for George and he wanted more and more. In history,not TV,she didn't hate Richard III even after murder of Princes in Tower.She can be killed a lot of times but Elizabeth could survive. I hate Elizabeth of York,who betrayed all dynasty and family and George was better than she.

@@YORKSCROWN That is exactly what I was saying with her actions tored her own family apart too. Can we go back to why all that chaos started? Do you think George went that route out of his greed or was his hands forced by Edward putting demands of his wife's family before his family's rights? Don't you at all think Woodvilles had contributed to the felling apart of the York brothers? All due respect, I'm a bit shocked by your pov of the things took place then.

@@YORKSCROWN And as supposed "murder"(I would say disappearance) of the Princes in the Tower its perpetrators remains unknown. Richard getting them killed is only one of the many theories, voicing it as a fact is problematic imo. You may believe that based on some historical facts as I believe it was Tudors's doing as they were the only ones benefiting from the event following that way of cause effect reasoning alongside some other clues. But neighter of those are historical facts right now. And about the o screen portrayals of those historical figures I haven't seen neighter of the currently popular starz series, so I cannot have been swayed by that though I don't suppose it would have that effect as they did probably show the Woodvilles under a good light as they are the protagonists ppl were to route for.

Woodvilles and their selfish greed is the reason Margaret even got a chance to do that.

@@charlinethom1624 Margaret wasn't nut at all. She was a calculated, ambitious woman just like Elisabeth. And there is no historical evidence of her being involved in murder of the prices in the tower. All the historians pointed at Richard as the most interested in killing the princes, but not even this was ever been proved. This is just a TV show, mixing historical facts with fiction.
