I was in high school in a science class when the teacher started a Bill Nye episode and the French exchange student was terrified because they don’t know about Bill Nye the Science Guy in France apparently. He was surrounded by American teenagers all chanting “BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY!”

Fun science fact, remembered with clarity from high school chemistry, proper beaker-sniffing etiquette is to use your hand to waft the vapor to your nose rather than just stick your nose up against the beaker. Can't recall the reason, I presume it's safety-related, but I just remember our class finding our teacher hilarious in his demonstration. Hey, it made me remember it over a decade later, so if it works, it works.
