She was trying to save the life of one of her twins. Which was at risk because it took her 7 months to reach her pre-pregnancy weight. So much for wanting to help “babies”. No one to help her and doctors needed to risk their license to make a medical decision.

As a nurse, I contacted my local state representative more than 10 times detailing the many medical conditions that make an abortion necessary to save a woman’s life during a complicated pregnancy. I was met with a complete disregard for anything I had to say. It seems that feelings are more important than facts to our representatives here in Texas. I really want to be represented by logical thinking humans. 😢

It is disgraceful that this poor woman had to feel scared, the only man that should have any say about this woman’s or any woman’s pregnancy is their doctor, not the government, not the church, just the woman’s family and medical care team should be involved, it is not a decision they make easily.

There is not a human being on the planet that didn’t get here without coming thru the body of a woman. We are the mothers of all living. I lost 2 great grandmothers at the age of 28 in the early 1900 ‘s after struggling to deliver children. Medical care and what we now know would have saved them. Yet we legislate as if we are ignorant and their loss of life didn’t matter. We have earned the right to choose our own healthcare free of the ignorance of legislators. And yes it is personal.

I've noticed that most of the people voting against abortion are men. At first seemed they had a real reason to do this, but as it ground on, I realized this wasn't about saving lives and babies, it is all about power, and forcing misery on others. People have forgotten why abortion was legalized in the first place - it was to save lives. My philosophy is - if you don't believe in abortion, then don't have one. I don't believe in abortion but I refuse to force others to my will.

I'm originally from Houston, a 3rd-generation Texan. LBJ was president when I was born. When I was about 30, I was pregnant but there was no heartbeat. The doctors ran the tests on the pregnancy hormones that went down, it was not a viable pregnancy so they scheduled a procedure to remove the tissue. That night I started to miscarry and we went to the emergency room where I was admitted and surgery was scheduled for the next day. I ended up having the full miscarriage that night then the surgery to remove anything that was left the next day so that I would not get an infection and die. I believe it was a memorial hospital on I-10. The staff was fantastic because it was a very emotional experience. There was a woman in the room with me going through the same thing. I never thought that I would see a day when women were denied this 100% necessary procedure, when a woman is miscarrying. I moved to Colorado a few years after that, I had always wanted to live here . Colorado is a much better fit for me. But the problem is those small towns, we have them here too, Fort Collins is Trump country but Boulder County and Denver are pretty blue. I'm Catholic and pro-choice. I do not believe in women using terminations as a form of birth control through. Ted Cruz does not care about God.. these people only care about pleasing their god king, tRump. Trump is a ghoul

I have a family member that lost three babies before she delivered a happy healthy one. Now she has been trying to get pregnant again and so we have made plans with Planned Parenthood because we live in a state with zero exceptions total ban so instead of planning for a second one we are making plans in case. This is a sick thought guys. This is horrible.
