It will improve all of those roads for about 5 years. Then back to the status quo. Some of this is probably necessary, but likely not money well spent when you factor in the other ways 1.7B could be spent. what type of pedestrian and bike infrastructure improvements?
A lot of news anchors are heavily simplifying the improvements that the project is making. I've looked through schematics to find where bike and pedestrian improvements would be made, but couldn't find any which is unfortunate. TXDot's website has all the schematics detailed down to the inch if you want to check it out for yourself.
i like road construction, but i think this much money would better be used for building new or improving rail and bus systems seriously america always puts the roads first
