The album is called "the name chapter:temptation" so sugar rush ride is literally about temptation of something devilishly sweet, the album talks about youth slipping away from you as you go into adulthood, so the the sweet thing that's tempting is wanting to stay in your childhood and not wanting to grow up. Which is why the concept and visuals for the mv are also peter pan-like
Yess it’s the desire to be completely free from responsibility or the harsh reality of the world basically, even in the crown song you listens to the song was talking about the sadness they are going through as they grow up and realise the world is not as nice as they thought were they were kids.
Fun fact: TXT ended up breakin their own recorded that they had set at debut for the song Crown which was the most viewed 4th gen boy group song with 15.1mil views in just 24hrs. With Sugar Rush Ride they surpassed that and got 15.41mil in 24hrs. They set a new record😭
most viewed 4th gen group song so that people don't get confused but nevertheless i'm super proud of them this is literally their biggest era with them charting in melon with +3M unique streams in 24h (correct me if i wrong, i tend to forget the numbers) and many other platforms, plus becoming the 1st most streamed album this year in melon, +1M copies sold in less than a day. haters can finally shut up and stop calling them flops lol
@@SAnn1747 Suprisingly, not about a girl but about them growing up and their friendship together (and I guess The Star Seekers lore basing off Eternally). Don't let Loser Lover fool you because it still ends up being about their friendship, either good or bad)
@@SAnn1747 It's about temptation and them falling to it. And the whole album concept is about your "Youth" slowly slipping away as you enter adulthood then because of that you are getting tempted to get away from it. In this case the "Temptation" is them wanting to Running away/Going back to their childhood and Not grow up which is like the concept of the Album itself. OH BTW the person explained this came from an interview I do believe and someone in the comment said it so I just Re type it but overall the comment not really mine.
@@SAnn1747 I mean if you want it to put it into perspective of who they’re talking/singing towards it MOA/Us and to each other as they go along their journey in the story
The TXT lore is so dope. Their whole concept is so intriguing. This song is so good when talking about being tempted by all the highs of life. Definitely worth checking out their storyline.
The island is meant to be the magic island in txt storyline which is a place where they are completely free from the world and can do whatever and just a place to escape. Even the “devil” they are referring to is an evil entity in their storyline that tells them about the place and temps them to leave reality and go there. So they end up going and get this “sugar rush” which feels nice at first but like sugar is still very bad for you just like the island. The whole album is about wanting to escape the responsibilities of being an adult but realising and accepted that you have to grow up and that the world isn’t as nice as you thought it was when you were younger. The album also references Peter Pan a lot because the story is the same. And it’s just about finding a place you can escape but understanding you can’t just escape because things don’t work like that, you have to face your problems
They filmed in Bali Indonesia. You guys should actually listen to the whole EP, the have an afropop/afrobeat inspired song called Tinnitus, I’m Nigerian and that song is crazyyy😂😂😂but it’s a very sad song when it comes to lyrics. One of the members Taehyun said he’s really been into afrobeat these days
the whole album SLAPS but they talked about how if you listen to the songs in order it’s about a boy trying to avoid the temptation of ecstasy which is why the album is called The Name Chapter: Temptation. DUDE THEY EVEB HAVE A SONG WITH COI LERAY CALLED HAPPY FOOLS
TXT has a whole as Story line that goes through their mvs. From what Ik this is supposed to represent them growing up and leavin neverland which is y they in da forest n on dat island. there supposed to represent da lost boys from Peter pan.
Sugar rush ride is def SOTY, MOAs went so hard on the view count and we got it to 15.4M views in 24 hours😭the most they have ever gotten. Even I was streaming for the whole day, the album and concept is so gooddd
I like that you're getting the whole vibe of the album without knowing any background info. It shows they really were able to get their point across in the song cause the whole album is about is temptation and yall already got it
Their storyline is difficult for me to fully comprehend , but from what I understand this albulm is about temptation, in this song specifically, the sugar rush they were after could maybe be looked at like an addiction, an addiction to wanting to be free of worries and live in their childlike fantasies, to never grow up, that is why the mv takes on the concept of peterpan where txt play the role of the lost boys, however at the end of the mv they all leave the island, and Kai(the member at the very end of the mv) looks back on their childhood one last time and then leaves with the rest. And this could also be because Kai is the youngest out of the group.
one of you said that want to learn korean a lot in one of your videos and what do we see? already read Korean! my congratulations! I also study Korean for 2 weeks~
your reactions are so entertaining and so are your theories, and I've read some of the comments and the Nerverland concept is true, if you look at the song titles in the Album I think there is one called, Nerverland goodbye or something similar, so they at first come to this island called Neverland we assume (the song opens with Beomgyu waking up and looking around) and then yes, they are exploring and having fun ( Yeonjun and Taehyun running around ect) before they start realising that they cannot stay there forever, hence the daze they're shown to be in, maybe an effect of this sugar rush, this temptation to stay is like sugar, it's addictive and bad and they cannot face reality here, so hence they realise at the end that the island is bad, like sugar, like the devil tempting them to stay, and although it's been a ride, they're leaving, but Kai looks back wistfully, maybe wanting to stay, or saying goodbye for good, we will have to wait and see. hope this helps xx
The song is about temptation. The "friendly innocent" devil got to them. Making them want something they shouldn't. Sugar rush is like when you're tempted of something and at some point you give into those temptations.
there’s a whole storyline throughout the song, and if you listen to the songs in order you’ll see that it’s all about a boy battling his temptations and fighting with the devil to eventually overcoming it
they have a collab with coi Leray on this new album called happy fools. Y’all should definitely react to it and there’s also a Afrobeat song called tinnitus that y’all will 100% enjoy.
Devonte I’m so proud of you!! Your reading is getting better and better every time!!! Sending you lots of love and support💗💗💗 Also thank you guys for the amazing reaction as always Love yall🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 Also I think it’s time to start reacting to K-Hiphop I recommend “Teléfono remix” and “The purge” by h1ghr music Trust me guys you won’t regret it
It means losing your innocence to desire, feeling high from the rush you get from worldly desires such as sexual desire, drugs, alcohol, or anything really. The "bad devil" lies to them in the form of a "sweet sugar" to tempt them.
Txt is known to have a secret storyline in the music video and they will eventually tell us. We love trying to figure it out. Thanks for watching. The title is temptation. It's usually about a relationship with a girl.
I was hoping you guys would react to this song!!! I think this is one of their best title tracks yet. You guys should react to more songs from this album, bc it is fire!! I think you would really like Happy Fools (feat. Coi Leray) and Tinnitus (wanna be a rock). Those songs go hard!!
I love your guys reaction and your interpretation is spot on. This album and song in particular is about temptation and how something may be fun in the moment but it’s dangerous. Stray kids Txt and Ateez are My fave group. I’m subscribing for sure!
In their songs mvs the boys have abusive parents, parents that don’t don’t care and fight, they talk about depression and wanting to just leave and how it feels like only 5 of them friends that really get each other. So the island is a place for them to escape all that but but the island good for them because they’re trying to say you can’t use escapism you have to face your problems. Their message and story as a group is very sad and deep actually but very relatable
hi guys thank you much for reacting to our boys! Please react to the full ep it’s only 5 songs so sugar rush ride and 4 other song THEY ARE SO WORTH IT and actually you were kinda right the album is called temptation so you can see the sugar as anything that tempted you (popularity, money, actual sugar) the whole thing is to express how easy it is to go for our desire especially when we are growing up in our 20’s just like txt
Please react to TxT's whole album 'The name' or at least the lyrics: Devil by the window, -sugar rush ride- , Happy Fools, Tinnitus and Farewell Neverland. They're all good songs in my opinion ❤️
