this song is a whole metaphor for growing up and the fear of it, the fear and anxiety that comes from leaving behind your childhood and friends but the “it will be alright alright alright” gives an optimistic and comforting twist to the song, as if you're not alone in this feeling

I think the "monster" in this song symbolizes one's childhood. "Can't we just leave the monster alive" sounds like "Can't we just leave the child inside us forever/even after we became grown ups". Dragons, dungeons.. these things are innocent fantasies of childhood. This song seems to be written from a person's point of view who doesn't want lose the innocence of the childhood.

growing up with a good memories, this song always makes me cry. the best feeling when i was still a child was doing whatever i want without the feeling of guilt. i never had a strong circle of friends but one thing for sure i had a lot of funs when i'm with them. now i'm a young adult and i only have one year left before my college graduation, there's no days where i am anxious on what will happen to me next. i am still afraid and not ready to leave my childhood that's why i still get excited with children toys and stuffs, indeed a young at heart human. it's really hard but txt made me want to continue. they literally saves me, like a heroes.

Yesssss! Reading these lyrics I found that a part of my theory is correct. They are afraid of growing up and growing apart and the island is where they come together to be as reckless as they wanna be. They made promises never to forget the island or the name. They were getting bored of life and wanted to stay friends forever so they ran away to the island. I don't know if this is accurate but this is what I'm getting from all the lyrics that I'm re-reading

ik this is about remaining youthful, but i interpret it as a boy that falls asleep playing a video game and “wakes up” in the video game, passing through different stages and making friends along the way. he’s hesitant to defeat the final boss and win the game because of the friends he’s made. that’s why he wants to stay in the video game world, even offering to become the monster himself. “can’t we just leave the monster alive?” is him wanting to hold off on leaving the game. at the end of the song, the final “alright”, he actually wakes up.

'Cant we just leave the monster alive?' probably talks about a monster(the cat with a green and a blue eye// thats what I think) and i guess soobin is the monster/cat's target! If you ask how then if you remember Magic Island and Eternally you will probably remember when Soobin had a line "remember my name?" or something like dat, he also had that caption in his twitter or maybe weverse post(i dont clearly remember) "why is it always me who suffers?" Soobin was always the one being left out and all, he got blocked out by an invisible barrier when he tried confronting the others as they were ignoring him in drama concept trailer and in the background(behind the others) was the cat's eyes(green and blue) and also the morse code was an SOS; Soobin said/whispered "guhaejwo" in the end of the trailer, meaning "save me". Maybe, maybe they all remember the cat from the very beginning except for soobin who forgot it and so the cat was punishing him. Maybe the others just let the cat/monster stay alive and Soobin was against it or forgot it while the others didnt. So things were going down on him and he didnt knew why. Lol ik there arent many moas who come back to this piece of art but still I am leaving it here as a memory and a thought/theory! Love ya everybody

the lyirics just remind me of an MMORPG i used to play lol everything just connects. think this song is telling that instead of trying to keep on fighting the monsters while dying and respawning endlessly trying to beat the main boss and get the ending, you should enjoy the world you have before you. once you kill the end boss then the game will be finished and you will no longer be able to explore that game world and find its easter eggs, etc. Its better to have fun in the moment itself without rushing for the ending
