@@muneeraxx2360 I remember BLACKPINK did it for BB one time. I think most companies don't have groups (seniors/juniors) enough to do this, that's why we don't see it as often. A lot of groups are still working in SM (if we compare it to other companies)
y'all saying it isn't necessary for them to stand up since Jeno was just accepting the award behalf of EXO but y'all gotta remember Jeno is still their senior and Korea is very strict about respecting people who are more older and who have more experience than you. Yes they looked confused but it wouldn't hurt to stand up after seeing Jeno walking up to the stage. I know this was about a year ago but i didn't know some of y'all were being oblivious and ignorant
Princess A I think they were confused because they didn’t think anyone would be accepting the award on behalf of EXO, and since they realized it late they thought it would be awkward to bow when no one else had stood up and done it
Ah. I see some comments here about manners and honestly, even if they're in younger gens and it's all about being carefree and having their own swagger or what not but they should still have etiquette lessons as part of their training. I know SM has an extensive etiquette training and it really shows in their idols. They have the most polite artists out there.
true, SM thought them that being humble and polite is one of the secrets of longevity in Kpop and it shows from Kangta to aespa, all their idols are active and never disbanded and well respected in Korea
@Tania Remachi yeah that’s because some of them are seniors but the 4th gen and the ones debuting after dream were supposed to stand up out of respect. But they didn’t which is very weird
@@muneeraxx2360 i mean we all know seniority is a big thing in korea, exo won the trophy and jeno still considered their sunbae even tho they might be the same age but still they should've gave a standing applause (im not pointing at txt only most of the 4th gens are right there as well but none of them stood up)

I think the idols, you know being mostly comprised of Koreans and Korean citizens, would know the societal expectations better than all of us. Don’t jump to conclusions.
Because i guess they were sitting far away and were confused like dream was sitting on 1st table near the stairs and txt was sitting far away like on the end side
@@jaezylee3387 It’s because the awards tradition in Korea is different. If they announced the winner but they didn’t take it personally like what happened in this situation, they don’t need to stand up. Cause it will be really weird if they stand up
its because exo didn't attend and its sm tradition that one representative from sm (ex: jeno) will do the speech for the sm idol who wasn't there at the time
Guys it wasn't just txt that didn't stand up. Literally all the people in the video were sitting and they were all clapping. I don't think we should start jumping to conclusions without knowing about the situation
if you see the other videos where all artists were visible, they mentioned all of the groups who were there. in this video, it was only txt who was shown which is probably why they were talking about them not standing up.
Every body understands that. They are saying why today's 4th generation idols not standing when a 3rd generation idol who is their Sunbae going to receive awards for their Sunbae.
maybe having to stand up bc your seniors go up on stage isnt as important anymore, at least to 4th gen groups bc i think txt werent the only ppl that continued sitting down. standing up everytime to show respect isnt necessary
Nada les costaba pararse, los rookies de esta generación (no todos) son tan irrespetuosos, un poco de modales, el que ganaba era exo y como jeno subió a representarlo igual se debían parar, por estas cosas no soy fan ni de txt ni de itzy, ambos de comportaron en las premiaciones como si DREAM (un grupo que debutó en el año 2016) no fueran seniors, weon, como NCTzen me caga que traten así a los chicos, no por ser jóvenes se merecen tanta falta de respeto, hasta en las premiaciones de EE. UU., las celebridades se paran cuando el ganador sube a dar su discurso,y no se ponen a hablar entre ellos (como itzy en los gaon), podrán decirme lo que sea, pero obvio no tiro hate ni nada, simplemente no consumo nada de esos grupos, son talentosos, pero los modales que tienen pues mmmm, nct dream es su senior, no sus amigos :v por fin dije lo que se debía decir, yo lo, cuando les pase sabrán como nos sentimos con este comportamiento (a las que se enojen por este comentario) a sus idols.
